Dongale is working as an Assistant Professor/Assistant Director at the School of Nanoscience and Biotechnology, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He was born and brought up in Shendur, a small village in the Kolhapur district (Maharashtra, India). He did his Bachelors and Masters in Electronics specialized in Embedded Systems and earned a Ph.D. degree from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Furthermore, he has completed one-year post-doctoral research work at Korea University, South Korea in the field of high-density resistive memory and synaptic devices. He has cleared SET and NET-JRF (Electronic Science) exams during his M.Sc. II year itself. Furthermore, he was a recipient of the 'Merit Scholarship’ of Shivaji University for securing the first rank in graduation and post-graduation studies. Moreover, he was also a recipient of the ‘Eklavya Scholarship’ for supporting the Master's studies and state government's chief minister NCC scholarship for the best cadet. He has established a research group with young and dynamic graduate and undergraduate students. His research group is working on the interface between Electronic Engineering and Material Science. In particular, his research group focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and development of micro and nanoscale devices for resistive memory, neuromorphic computing, sensor, and energy applications. He is one of the leading Indian researchers in the field of resistive switching devices for memory and neuromorphic computing applications. His research group is currently exploring the growth and electronic properties of functional nanomaterials and thin films. As an individual and team member, he has mobilized Rs. 8.50 Cr. research grant. Together with his students, he has published more than 75 SCI research articles and field 02 Indian patents. One of the exemplary features of his work is that he has placed more than 40 rural students at various national and international institutes, universities, and companies based on their Master thesis work and research publications. Most of his students getting a handsome scholarship to pursue their Ph.D. studies abroad. Recently, he has been elected as a Young Associate of Maharashtra Academy of Sciences, India. He has established international scientific collaboration with Prof. Tae Geun Kim (Korea University, South Korea), Dr. Kevin Musselman (University of Waterloo, Canada), Prof. Marius K. Orlowski (Virginia Tech. the USA), Prof. Deok- kee Kim (Sejong University, South Korea) and Dr. Christos Volos (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece).

Brief Profile

Dr. Tukaram D. Dongale is working as an Assistant Professor/Assistant Director at the

School of Nanoscience and Biotechnology, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He was born and

brought up in Shendur, a small village in the Kolhapur district (Maharashtra, India). He did his

Bachelors and Masters in Electronics specialized in Embedded Systems and earned a Ph.D.

degree from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Furthermore, he has completed one-year post-doctoral

research work at Korea University, South Korea in the field of high-density resistive memory and

synaptic devices. He has cleared SET and NET-JRF (Electronic Science) exams during his M.Sc. II

year itself. Furthermore, he was a recipient of the 'Merit Scholarship’ of Shivaji University for

securing the first rank in graduation and post-graduation studies. Moreover, he was also a

recipient of the ‘Eklavya Scholarship’ for supporting the Master's studies and state government's

chief minister NCC scholarship for the best cadet.

He has established a research group with young and dynamic graduate and undergraduate

students. His research group is working on the interface between Electronic Engineering and

Material Science. In particular, his research group focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and

development of micro and nanoscale devices for resistive memory, neuromorphic computing,

sensor, and energy applications. He is one of the leading Indian researchers in the field of

resistive switching devices for memory and neuromorphic computing applications. His research

group is currently exploring the growth and electronic properties of functional nanomaterials

and thin films. As an individual and team member, he has mobilized Rs. 8.50 Cr. research grant.

Together with his students, he has published more than 75 SCI research articles and field 02

Indian patents. One of the exemplary features of his work is that he has placed more than 40

rural students at various national and international institutes, universities, and companies based

on their Master thesis work and research publications. Most of his students getting a handsome

scholarship to pursue their Ph.D. studies abroad. Recently, he has been elected as a Young
