la instalación, recuperación y análisis de los datos de 5 anclajes frente las costas

de Tamaulipas.

Y el tercer de estos proyectos es titulado ‘Current Measurements in the Yucatan-

Campeche Area in Support of the Loop Current Dynamics Study’ de Abril, 2009 a

Octubre 2012. Y consiste de la instalación, recuperación y análisis de los datos de

8 anclajes en la región de y al norte del Canal de Yucatán.

Participante en 3 Convenios de Servicio a ‘Pemex Exploración y Producción’:

‘Proyecto de red de anclajes del Golfo de México profundo’ (14 de agosto, 2007

a 31 diciembre, 2008). Las componentes principales fueron: instalación de 9

anclajes distribuidos en la Bahía de Campeche, obtención de datos de flotadores

superficiales a la deriva para determinar velocidades, y modelación numérica de

oleaje y corrientes.

‘Proyecto de red de anclajes del Golfo de México profundo, periodo 2008’ (19

de mayo, 2008 a 31 de diciembre, 2008). Consistió en la continuación y

ampliación del anterior con un total de 33 anclajes.

‘Medición y análisis metoceanico del Golfo de México, etapa 2009-2013’ (3 de

agosto, 2009 a 31 diciembre, 2013). Es la continuación del anterior.

Editor, en conjunto con los Drs. Oscar Velasco y Julio Sheinbaum, del volumen

‘Nonlinear Processes in Geophysical Fluid Dynamics’ del Coloquio en Memoria de

Coordinación y operación de Deslizador Autónomo tipo ‘Spray’ del IDG de la

Universidad de California en San Diego ( http://spray.ucsd.edu/pub/rel/index.php)

relativo al proyecto: ‘Establecimiento de línea base y monitoreo de las aguas

profundas en el Golfo de México’. Un proyecto financiado por

INE/CONABIO/SEMARNAT y FOINS-CONACYT y dirigido por el Dr. Carlos

Herguera, la Dra. Sharon Herzka, y el Dr. Julio Sheinbaum. Este proyecto tuvo por

motivo el derrame de petróleo del 20 de abril al 15 de julio de 2010 en la plataforma

Macondo, Deep Horizon, frente a las costas de Louisiana en los Estados Unidos. Las

mediciones se hicieron en dos misiones cada una de ~3 meses en 2011.
