ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL DATA (Summary): Medical Doctor specialist in Angiology and Vascular Surgery by the Spanish

Ministry of Health from 2012 after five years of training in Angiology – Vascular and

During his training in Vascular Surgery (2007-2012) and over the next 5 years

Dr. F Gallardo has been recognized as a promising vascular surgeon, probably one of

the most international badged in worldwide meetings, collaborating as professor

specialized in the field of planning and sizing endovascular procedures and minimal

invasive procedures with the European Society of Vascular Surgery (ESVS), the

European Society of CardioVascular and Endovascular Surgery (ESCVS) and many

others prestigious international scientific societies

More than 40 International papers presented as first author at international

and national symposiums. He has been invited as honorary faculty at: ESVS Annual

Meeting, LINC-Germany, VIVA Las Vegas, Charing Cross -London, SITE- Barcelona, SAM

Santiago, ESCVS Annual Meeting , etc.…He is also collaborator with the last edition of

Stanford University, California, book of Operative Techniques in Vascular Surgery and

other vascular books, with more than 6 international papers in indexed scientific

journals in the last 3 years. Involved with international clinical trials and multicenter

research along the last 5 years. Editor reviewer of Vascular Endovascular Review (EVR),

UK magazine, since april 2018.

Member of the Scientific Committee of the Andalusian Society of Vascular

Surgery (SACVA). Head Investigator and director of the SACVA EVAR 30-D Andalusian

AAA registry.

Co-director and member of the scientific committee of SITE update 16-18, SITE

15-17 (with Pr. V Riambau), founder and co-organizer of the Santiago Aortic Meeting

(SAM 2014-15-16-17-18) course endorsed by the ESVS.

Team leader Responsible of Training and e-Learning Committee (ETC) of the

ESVS from 2011, professor of EVAR annual courses and professor of Planning and

Sizing online courses of the ESVS from 2013-2018. Member of the Scientific Committee

of the Andalusian Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery from 2016.

International Prizes at Charing Cross London International Meeting in 2010, 2

best oral communication, Invited at “Stars of the Future Sessions” at CX- London in

2011 and 2012. Prize for the Best CV in younger than 35 y.o. vascular surgeon at MEET-

ROMA 2012. First prize at International Meeting of Vascular Surgeons in Spanish

Language Society in 2010, Granada. First prize for best oral communication at Hispano-

Portuguese Annual Meeting in 2014, Porto, and 2015, Ourense. Awarded also with

scholarships grants by the North Spain Vascular Surgery Society in 2010, Spanish

national Society in 2011, and MEET- Rome in 2012.

Nowadays his major interest is focused in research and advances in

endovascular therapies, new stents therapies, planning software, and minimal ivasives

therapies for veins pathologies. Dedicated to train to others young colleagues with less

exposure to endovascular procedures around Europe in collaboration with the ESVS

and other international societies is other of his priorities. At 2011 was the founder of

the first net online of training centers in the Europe, “EVST training centers database”

Clinical activity as consultant in Angiology and Vascular surgery from 2012 to

2015 at the Spanish Public University Hospital Clínico Santiago, NW of Spain where he

also collaborated as Associated Professor of Surgery in the University of Santiago de

Compostela. Working also as Consultant in Vascular Surgery in other private Hospitals

and clinics: I.M Q. San Rafael, A Coruña and coordinator of a multidisciplinary center of

care in wounds and diabetic foot in A Coruña.

From June 2015 is developing his career as senior MD consultant with the

group Instituto Vascular Endovascular Internacional “IVEI” at Hospital Quirónsalud

Marbella, and Campo de Gibraltar, south of Spain. He is owner of a vascular clinic

specializaed in wound care: “Clinica Vascular Marbella”.

At Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella has been implanted the first Hospital AAA

screening program of Spain and is working for becoming a reference in complex Aortic

Endovascular procedures in South Spain in collaboration with the ESVS, and with

technological internationals leader companies as Apple, Medtronic, GORE WL in the

development of integrated operation rooms. And one of the most high volumen

experienced vascular surgeons in endolaser therapies for vein pathologies with more

than 150 cases annually.
