Examination Reforms:
The examination system has been made very transparent. The examinations of all the courses
are being conducted timely and their results are declared well in time as per our Academic
Calendar. Degrees and marks- sheets are now computerized.
Development work:
New Block of Microbiology Department and Mathematics Department have been constructed.
Modifications have been made in the internal structures of Chemistry Building, External
renovation of Ved Mandir, Extnsion of Ancient Indian History and Archaeology Department,
Extension and furnishing of 11 rooms including 4 Deluxe rooms and reception room in Senate
Hall (Guesthouse) has been done. The boundary wall has been completed in the Main campus
and Kanya Gurukula Campus of Haridwar. New block of faculty of Engineering and
Technology has been completed. Construction work of boundary wall of Herbal garden has
been done. The main campus has been beautified with three parks and laying of tiles in Central
Office and Senate Hall. The construction of road and pedestrian path in main campus and
campus of Faculty of Engineering and Technology has been done .A three-storied hostel with
capacity of 240 students has been completed for the students of Faculty of Engineering and
Technology and one more hostel of the same capacity is nearly completed A new B. Pharm.
Building has been completed. A new Administrative Block has been completed. A new MCA
building is also under construction. The University Grants Commission, New Delhi for the
construction of various buildings and their infrastructure, has sanctioned an amount of fifty-six
crores.

Introduction of New Courses:
Five new courses in different disciplines were introduced under Faculty of Distance education:

on B. Pharm. has also been introduced. Under the guidelines of Supreme Court and UGC, a new
course on Environmental Studies for Graduate Classes has been introduced.

A number of faculty members participated and presented their findings in different
National/International conferences/ seminars etc. An internal Quality Assurance and

Assessment Cell were established to improve the standard of the University. Three Departments
of Science viz. Zoology & Environmental Science, Botany & Microbiology and Chemistry were
sanctioned D.S.T.-F.I.S.T. programme to enhance teaching and research quality. Based on
quality of research the Department of Zoology & Environmental Science was sanctioned
Special Assistance Programme (SAP) by the U.G.C.
Interdisciplinary programmes:
Under Interdisciplinary programmes, many of the faculty members/Ph.D. students of faculty
were encouraged to do research work in consultation with some other Universities of the
country/abroad.
