Conference held in March, 2008 in collaboration with Georgetown University
in Qatar. Presentation entitled " When the Dream Turns Sour: A Comparative
Study of The Shadow of the Sun (a novel by the Kuwaiti novelist Taleb Rifa'I
and Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman.

Regional English Language Office in The US Embassy, Amman Jordan. Received a
letter of recognition from the US RELO:
"English in a Box." July5th, 2006. Workshop conducted by Monica Weiss and
Kathy Koop from World Links on how to use the Books-in-a-box books in
Jordan. The Books-in-a-Box project was launched in 2003, funded by the
Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) aiming at providing about 36 titles
of enrichment books and materials for English teachers teaching grades 7-10.
