This includes formal lectures (at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, John Hunter Children’s Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital) in my subspecialty of Paediatric Rheumatology, tutorials and clinical examination preparation sessions for the long and short cases. Great Ormond Street Hospital/ University College London Institute of Child Health Annual Rheumatology Course (July 2008) – I was invited to give two lectures and lead a tutorial in this course designed for paediatricians and advanced skilled allied health professionals to build and update their rheumatology knowledge. University of NSW, Master of Sports Medicine Thesis Supervisor (2008-9) – I closely supervised a candidate in designing, completing research and preparation of the thesis for this award. University of Western Sydney Medical Program (2010-) – Lecturing on Paediatric Rheumatology to students during their Paediatric Rotation. Other Education Related Activities Australian Paediatric Rheumatology Group Curriculum Committee (2008-) – This group is responsible for overseeing the rheumatology curriculum for Paediatric basic and advanced trainees as it is specified by the RACP. It has been instrumental in drafting the RACP Advanced training curriculum for Adult and Paediatric Rheumatology. JIA Parent Education Day NSW Arthritis Foundation – I am a member of the Organising Committee Member for this full day event in November 2009. Juvenile Arthritis Camps (2006-) - I have been a speaker at “Camp Footloose” and “Camp Twinkle Toes” both of which are organised by The NSW Arthritis Foundation on an ongoing basis providing both patient and parent education. The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Diploma of Child Health Education Committee (2002, 2007-8) – responsible for programme and curriculum development for the DCH. Lymphoedema Parent Information Day 2010 – as the paediatric lymphoedema physician for New South Wales I was involved in the organisation and delivery of this education event. Royal Australasian College of Physicians Written Exam Committee (2011)– Invited to join this committee and contribute rheumatology and general paediatric questions.

Clinical Service and Quality Improvement Activities Service Improvement Unit (SIU), Children’s Hospital at Westmead – I have had ongoing involvement with this organisation within the hospital whose role is to coordinate improvement efforts across all areas of the Hospital and ensure the provision of the highest possible quality of care. I have been a member of the Clinical Review Committee (2002-3) and an ad-hoc member of a number of Root Cause Analysis Working Parties. Furthermore, I am currently involved in a number of projects involving the SIU including improvements in the outpatient referral process and Medical team identification.

Departmental Mortality and Morbidity Meetings – In all units I have worked in I have been an active member of the M&M process. Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI -Previously the Greater Metropolitan Clinical Taskforce) - Co-chair of the Juvenile Arthritis subgroup of the Musculoskeletal Network. The ACI was developed to promote clinician and consumer involvement in planning and health service delivery based on clinical need. NSW Lupus Association Advisory Board Member (2011-) I am the paediatric representative on the advisory board of this Association which is the peak body representing patients and families with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. The International Myositis Assessment and Clinical Studies Group ( IMACS) (2011-) – I have been invited to contribute as the paediatric member of the rehabilitation committee of this international collaborative working toward the development of core set outcome measures for paediatric and adult myositis.
