3. Animal manipulation: I have extensive experiences in developing animal models for diseases.

Conducted middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO; stroke), renovascular hypertensive rat (RHR),

and ovariectomized (OVX) rat models; acute DSS colitis model (inflammatory bowel diseases),

metabolic diseases model (Diet induced obese model), neonatal maternal separation (NMS) model

(irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Angiotensin II-infused hypertensive model.

4. Imaging: I have experienced in Ca2+, reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide in situ

imaging in intact arteries (endothelium and vascular smooth muscle cells). I learnt how to isolate

cardiac cells and do imaging experiments.

5. Proficient in Proteomic analysis & Metabonomic analysis

6. Handling of confocal microscopes (OLYMPUS, BIORAD and LEICA; calcium, nitric oxide,

reactive oxygen species detection), bioluminescent photon imaging using aequorin and

spectrofluorimetric imaging. Experienced working with imaging software such as Metamorph,

MetaFluor, Felix and confocal assistant.

7. Experienced in myographs and organ bath experiments for vascular studies.

8. Other techniques: Organ culture of isolated artery, Primary culture of mouse aortic and

mesenteric artery endothelial cells, Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), Blood pressure measurement
