However, in practice it appears that priorities are different. Over half of HR professionals list requesting copies of certificates as their main way of confirming qualifications, and just under a
quarter (24%) say that they rely on speaking directly to a candidate’s listed references.
Just over 1 in 20 HR professionals said that they didn’t verify qualifications at all.
