Griffin Connect•To ensure a collaborative and student centered experience as well as open lines of communication, Lake Mary Prep uses an interactive website.

•Blackbaud (Griffin Connect) is an educational website that takes the ideas of a social network, refines them, and makes it appropriate for a classroom.

•Teachers use Griffin Connect to post weekly lesson plans and assignments. These items will be posted to Griffin Connect for the upcoming week by 5:00 pm Sunday. Griffin Connect passwords will be set up for student and parent access.

•Teachers also use Griffin Connect for posting grades and attendance. Assignments will be promptly graded and posted to Griffin Connect .

Advisory Program● Character development and college

preparedness are important aspects of students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

● Advisory classes held every Tuesday and Thursday.

● What sets LMP apart from other schools is the one-on-one support from teachers and administration in an informal environment that fosters student-faculty relationships.

● Topics include: respect, character and integrity, digital citizenship, college planning, personal branding, college resume building, career exploration, interviewing, and life skills.

● Naviance, a college planning web-based resource, is a component of advisory throughout the comprehensive four year program.

Daily Schedule

Together with our ACIS Educational Travel Coordinator we have designed unique international trips for each grade level. Similar to our middle school trips, we are confident these trips will become annual grade level traditions in our school.

Our freshman and sophomore students will enjoy a STEM experience in Iceland. Our juniors will study the culture, geography, and recognize how Charles Darwin arrived at his Theory of Evolution as they travel through the Galapagos Islands. Finally, our senior class will enjoy a tour of European capitals - Paris, Rome, and London, together as they celebrate the culmination of their time at LMP. Each of these trips will be chaperoned by an LMP administrator, faculty member, and our ACIS coordinators.
