Creative Sonoma and The North Bay Hootenanny are teaming up to bring youthe Next Level Showcase and Conference on April 15th 16th and 17th2016 Next Level is designed to celebrate the musical talent and explorationoccurring across the County and to provide advice and expertise to help localmusicians move their careers forward The Showcase The first two days of Next Level Friday April 15 amp SaturdayApril 16 will be a threeshystage showcase of exceptional local and regional musicaltalent at the Arlene Francis Center in Santa Rosas Railroad Square Over 30acts of varying genres will shine a light on the wealth of talent in the NorthBays creative community including Royal Jelly Jive (swing) Ashley Allred(singersongwriter) Mr December (Americana) Lungs amp Limbs (rock) KevinRussell and the Rhythm Rangers (folk) and many others (full lineup is atwwwnextlevelsonomacom) The showcase will be produced by Second OctaveEntertainment The Conference The third day of Next Level Sunday April 17 will be adayshylong conference at Chops Teen Center where attendees from our localmusic scene can learn directly from regional and national music industryprofessionals Panel discussions will focus on topics including getting bookeddeveloping a fan base and licensing your music as well as a keynote addressfrom Griff Morris senior manager of artist and industry strategy at AmazonMusic The conference will also feature regional musician Lia Rose whose musichas been heard on ABCshyTVs Nashville in conversation with herproducerengineer Stephen Hart Other presenters include Al Evers (AshyTrainEntertainment) Chris Faville (Mongrel Agency) Josh Norek (RegaliasDigitalesLatin Alternative Music Conference) and Julie Schuchard (TricycleRecords) Representatives will also be in attendance from the GRAMMY AwardsWest Coast Songwriters Association and other national resources
