What makes Mt. Salus unique is that it is a Christian
School that seeks to promote the intellectual and personal
growth of its students through a quality Bible-based
education.
21st Century Skills
Mt. Salus strive to nurture critical thinking skills and
creativity in light of God’s Word, the Bible. Students are also
provide with an opportunity to earn college credit while
enrolled at Mt. Salus. The courses are taken at the Mt. Salus
campus where students receive high school credit and college
credit for the same classes. Each course is fully transferable to
any college in the state of Mississippi.
Cultural Relevant Pedagogy
Mt. Salus Christian School reflects cultural relevant
pedagogy by providing its students with a godly and
excellent understanding of the Creator’s world that they
might fulfill the blessing of subduing the earth.
Program Creativity
Students and faculty participate together in activities ranging
from weekly chapel to field trips, academic bees, service
projects, athletic events, student government and musical
productions.. We strive to celebrate and promote growth of
each student’s God-given talents and abilities.

What make Urban Prep unique is that it is a nonprofit
organization that operates a network of all-boys public schools
including the country’s first charter high school for boys. The
schools are a direct response to the urgent need to reverse
abysmal graduation and college completion rates among boys
in urban centers

Urban Prep provides a high-quality and comprehensive
college-preparatory educational experience to young men
that results in our graduates succeeding in college.
Cultural Relevant Pedagogy
Building a positive school culture is very important at
Urban Prep as it helps promote positive self-esteem and
high achievement. One way we foster a positive school
culture is by holding our students accountable to live by
the Urban Prep Creed which they recite each morning in
Community.

What makes Warren Central Intermediate unique is that
they strive to equip every student with skills to succeed
in challenging courses, meet academic standards, and
graduate from high school prepared for college.
21st Century Skills
Response to Intervention is an early detection, prevention,
and support system that attempts to identify and assist
struggling students with appropriate levels of interventions.
Students are categorized into three tiers within the RtI
framework: according to researchers, the three tiers are as
follows: Tier I, Tier II and Tier III. If strategies at Tier I are
unsuccessful, students must be referred to the Teacher
Support Team (TST).Teacher Support Team (TST) is the
problem-solving unit responsible for prescribing interventions
at Tier II and III.
Cultural Relevant Pedagogy
Warren Central Intermediate practice culturally relevant
pedagogy by encouraging student teacher relationships. The
WCI engage their students in classroom activities by allowing
them to participate in hands on learning projects while
fostering the student 21st century skills.
Program Creativity
Renaissance Learning: Accelerated Math- Students are
automatically placed in instructional groups based on STAR
Math data, and the software automatically schedules
standards coverage for the entire school year.
Academy of Reading & Academy of Math- is an online,
intensive intervention program that can be used by a wide
range of struggling readers and students struggling with
math.
