Traditional Worship, 8:30am

Welcome and Announcements Prelude “Ah, Holy Jesus” Dale Wood *Call To Worship We gather to share in our love of God. Lord, open our hearts and let us share Your Good News. We gather to share our witness to God’s goodness. Lord, let our lives bear witness through service to Your people. We gather to praise God, whose love is eternal. Lord, open our hearts today to sing Your praises. AMEN.

*Hymn of Praise “For the Healing of the Nations” UMH #428 Passing of the Peace Time of Prayer - The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who tres-pass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*Affirmation of Faith, The Apostles Creed UMH #881

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day He rose from the dead: He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the for-giveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Gloria Patri

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

Prayer of Illumination Guide us, O God, by Your Word and Holy Spirit, that in Your light we may see light, in Your truth find freedom, and in Your will discover peace; through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Ministry in Action - Announcements

The Annual Missions Yard Sale will be held Saturday, March 18th, in the Christian Life Center from 8am to noon. Donations may be brought to the CLC on Friday, March 17th, from 10am to 7pm. Do you have treasures around the house you haven’t used in a while? Why not make these items available to others in our community who might need them? Please note that we cannot accept cribs, car seats and some other baby equipment due to liability issues. The annual missions yard sale provides important funds that make our White Plains outreach ministries possible. Thank you for your participation and support!

Consider making a gift to your church to fund an endowment in memory of a family member or special friend. Contact John Brettschneider, Endow-ment Committee Chair, at [email protected] for additional infor-mation.

Share your Disciple's Path experience! On Sunday, March 26, we will cele-brate the ending of our Disciple's Path study with a congregational sharing of fellowship and testimony at 6:00pm in the CLC, followed by a special Ref-uge service in the CLC at 7pm. Whether you have been involved in a home study group, a Sunday school class or even just Sunday worship, we hope this meeting will be a time for you to reflect and talk about the next steps on your Disciple's Path.

White Plains Children’s Center opened a new part-day classroom on Janu-ary 3, 2017, and spots are still available for enrollment! This class serves children of all abilities, ages 12 months to 31 months (at the time of enroll-ment). The schedule is flexible and allows families to choose 2, 3 or 5 half-days per week. Class begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 12:00 noon. This is a perfect setting for families who are looking to introduce their child to the school environment, or who may only need part-day care. For more infor-mation or to set up a tour, please contact our office at (919) 469-2217.

Fish Fry – Friday, April 7th, 11am-7pm The meal includes fried fish, potato salad, coleslaw, hush puppies and bana-na pudding. Dine-in or take-out is available. Free local delivery, ten plates or more. Volunteers are needed. Email [email protected], George Smit with questions.
