The CTU Training Solutions (Career Campus), established in 1987, offers a variety IT, business and design programmes with national qualifications and international certifications which de-velop skills and prepares the graduates for a future filled with exciting opportunities at its 14 campuses countrywide. We aim to equip our graduates with the right skills to successfully enter the South African job market.

In line with industry requirements, CTU Training Solutions (PTY) Ltd is fully accredited by the MICT SETA and provisionally registered with the Department of Education as a Private Further Education and Training College. The MICT SETA is a training accreditation body committed to skills development in the ICT sector.

The facilitator-led programmes are developed and updated regularly according to new tech-nological developments and market trends. Small classes ensure that a great deal of attention is given to each individual with emphasis on practical training.

CTU developed a “Student Life @ CTU” programme managed by CTU staff and the campus SRC (student representative council) with some activities executed on a national level, for example: social responsibility programmes and projects with and for non-profit organisations.

The “workplace experience programme” enables learners to become familiar with corporate/working environments through various field trips and internship programmes hosted by participating corporate clients.

The recruitment division forms an integral part of the CTU HRD solution offering, and work-ing towards a vision of lifelong learning with an absolute passion for the development of ICT professionals.

Training MethodologyThe facilitator-led skills training enables our learners to gain a thorough under-standing of the programme material at all times. Our programmes focus on the practical approach to content and learners graduate with hands-on skills required within the IT industry, enabling them to function fully as IT or business professionals. CTU’s Language Policy: English

Our Study MaterialAll programme material is included in the fee. CTU spends a considerable amount of time assessing and evaluating study materials. Tried and tested programme manuals are used and our alliance with registered vendors gives us access to original resources to choose from.

ProgressThe purpose of the assessment is to inform learners of their learning progress and to enable facilitators to adjust their instruction to the needs of learners. Throughout the formative assessment process, the results and progress of the learner will be continually discussed, reviewed and further development strategies will be implemented to improve learning programmes and instruction. Each learner will be issued with two academic transcripts during their year of study in order to monitor their progress.

Workplace Experience ProgrammeThis programme includes field trips, corporate visits and internships during the year. This allows the learner the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the business environ-ment in relation to their field of study.

As the world moves forward into a globally competitive market, trends, designs and developments are chang-ing daily. Architects, engineers, designers, manufacturers and shop fit-ters are now using AutoCAD, Revit and Inventor, so making Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) operators a much-needed commodity. A CAD operator visualises a given sketch of an idea into a Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) two dimensional drawing through to a three-dimensional Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) model.

A structure doesn’t create itself… it takes a design. Draughters prepare technical drawings and plans used by production and construction work-ers to build everything from manu-factured products such as industrial machinery to structures, such as office buildings or gas pipelines. Their draw-ings provide visual guidelines showing the technical details of the products and structures specifying dimensions, materials to be used, procedures and processes. Draughting is done mostly on the computer using CAD systems.
