Introduction:-
CSR is a company‟s commitment to operating in an economically, socially and
environmentally sustainable manner whilst balancing the interests of diverse stakeholders.”
Public as well as private enterprises in India, as anywhere else in the world are striving to
improve the public image of business. It is not „dirty business‟ any more. Most companies
believe in being and becoming good corporate citizens. They see the value of giving back to
the community which contributed to their success. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is
no longer mere philanthropy. Though still largely voluntary, it is seen as imperative for
sustainable business. There is growing evidence that socially responsible investment by
ethical companies brings in higher returns on a long term basis. Most successful enterprises,
whether public or private, believe in giving back something to the community that
contributed to their prosperity.
The Management of M/s Shiv Kripa Build Estate Pvt. Ltd. is dedicated towards becoming
a good corporate citizen. Company understands its corporate social responsibility and is
committed to maintaining ethical business standards so as to make positive impacts on
environment, social & economic structures of locality, as a part of sustainable development.
These principal areas and have been included under company‟s CSR Program. The
Company‟s CSR has been developed keeping aim at achieving commercial success in ways
that honor ethical values and respect people, communities, and the natural environment.” The
planning and implementation of CSR Program has included business ethics, corporate
citizenship, corporate accountability, sustainability and corporate responsibility. Mr. Narayan
Murthy firmly underlines the significance of the CSR as: “for benefit of globalization and
technology to reach the poor, the private sector, philanthropic institutes and individuals
should cooperate and establish partnership with government institutions. This would lift
millions of our people out of the poverty, provide them with opportunities and make them
participate in the process and progress of globalization”. Having conformity with Mr.
Narayan Murthy‟s vision on CSR importance the company will practice his business in a
manner to achieve growth and benefit to local society concurrently. According to the local
survey, the company has developed its CSR program keeping educational and health benefit
to society at the core of company social responsibility & commitments.
Purpose of this Report
The purpose of this report is to develop a preliminary Corporate Social Responsibility Action
Plan for the proposed project and to be taken up integrally with the proposed project activities
in the nearby identified villages based on socio-economic study as well as the need based
assessment study within the study area and in discussion with, villagers and other
stakeholders of the project.
CSR Boundary
The project area considered for carrying out CSR activities is spread across Sanganer Tehsil
of District Jaipur in a 10 km radius around the proposed project site.
METHODOLOGY ADOPTED FOR PREPARING THE CSR PLAN
Process
As shown in below Figure a Three Level methodology has been adopted in order to carry out
this study; namely Review of the Available Literature, Secondary Data collection & analysis
and Primary data collection, validation of the secondary data & analysis and
recommendation.

Literature Review
The purpose of the literature studies is to gather information regarding our stated problem
area. Various resources, both global as well as Indian, have been searched to identify the best
practices that have been followed globally. The guidelines provided by the International
Organizations as well as recognized Government organizations have been thoroughly studied
to identify the key aspects that needs to be captured in the report.
Secondary Data Collection
Various sources like census 2011data, data available with the villagers and etc. have been
used to identify the key trends in the study area for assessing the need of various plans that
can be initiated as a part of CSR.

Primary Data Collection
An interview approach has been used for collecting the primary data required for the
preparation of this CSR report according to its scope. The local school primary health center
and Ramsingpura (Dhoali) & Narsinghpura (Dadiya) village have been visited and in
consultation with the local villagers, the needs of the local people have been identified.
Recommendation
Based on the analysis of the both the collected data and keeping the appropriate guidelines in
mind, a preliminary CSR plan has been developed.
Area Selected For the CSR Proposal:

2. Primary Health Center Narsinghpura (Dadiya) Jaipur
3. Ramsingpura (Dhoali) & Narsinghpura (Dadiya) Village, Jaipur
Socio‐Economic Environment
Socio-economics, a component of environment includes description of demography, vailable
basic amenities like housing, health care services, transportation, education and cultural
activities. Information on the above said parameters has been collected to define the
socioeconomic profile of the study area (10 km radius). A survey of the study area was also
conducted and data about the villages falling in the study area (10 km) were collected both
from secondary and primary sources. The database thus generated in the process include:-
i. Demographic Structure
ii. Infrastructure in the study area
The data is generated using secondary sources viz census 2011records and primary data
collection through field survey as well as field observations.
Demographic Structure of Jaipur Tehsil and Sirsi and Dhankya Village:-
Ramsinghpura is a large village located in Sanganer of Jaipur district, Rajasthan with total
272 families residing. The Ramsinghpura village has population of 2047 of which 1027 are
males while 1020 are females as per Population Census 2011.
Narsinghpura (Dadiya) is a medium size village located in Sanganer of Jaipur district,
Rajasthan with total 138 families residing. The Narsinghpura (Dadiya) village has population
of 1029 of which 512 are males while 517 are females as per Population Census 2011.
In Ramsinghpura village population of children with age 0-6 is 299 which makes up 14.61 %
of total population of village. Average Sex Ratio of Ramsinghpura village is 993 which is
higher than Rajasthan state average of 928. Child Sex Ratio for the Ramsinghpura as per
census is 954, higher than Rajasthan average of 888
In Narsinghpura (Dadiya) village population of children with age 0-6 is 154 which makes up
14.97 % of total population of village. Average Sex Ratio of Narsinghpura (Dadiya) village is
1010 which is higher than Rajasthan state average of 928. Child Sex Ratio for the
Narsinghpura (Dadiya) as per census is 1081, higher than Rajasthan average of 888.
Literacy Status
Ramsinghpura village has higher literacy rate compared to Rajasthan. In 2011, literacy rate of
Ramsinghpura village was 72.14 % compared to 66.11 % of Rajasthan. In Ramsinghpura
Male literacy stands at 85.01 % while female literacy rate was 59.27 %.

Narsinghpura (Dadiya) village has higher literacy rate compared to Rajasthan. In 2011,
literacy rate of Narsinghpura (Dadiya) village was 76.11 % compared to 66.11 % of
Rajasthan. In Narsinghpura (Dadiya) Male literacy stands at 90.64 % while female literacy
rate was 61.56 %.
As per constitution of India and Panchyati Raj Act, both villages are administrated by
Sarpanch (Head of Village) who is elected representative of village.
Caste Factor
Schedule Caste (SC) constitutes 11.63 % while Schedule Tribe (ST) were 1.03 % of total
population in Ramsinghpura village.
Schedule Caste (SC) constitutes 10.88 % while Schedule Tribe (ST) were 0.39 % of total
population in Narsinghpura (Dadiya) village.
Work Profile
In Ramsinghpura village out of total population, 984 were engaged in work activities. 88.52
% of workers describe their work as Main Work (Employment or Earning more than 6
Months) while 11.48 % were involved in Marginal activity providing livelihood for less than
6 months. Of 984 workers engaged in Main Work, 791 were cultivators (owner or co-owner)
while 2 were Agricultural labourer.
In Narsinghpura (Dadiya) village out of total population, 417 were engaged in work
activities. 90.65 % of workers describe their work as Main Work (Employment or Earning
more than 6 Months) while 9.35 % were involved in Marginal activity providing livelihood
for less than 6 months. Of 417 workers engaged in Main Work, 334 were cultivators (owner
or co-owner) while 6 were Agricultural labourer.
Infrastructure in the Narsinghpura (Dadiya) Ramsinghpura Village:-
The infrastructure resources falling within the study area with reference to education, medical
facility, water supply, post and telegraph, transportation, communication and power supply
etc., based on attached census record of 2011 of Narsinghpura (Dadiya) Ramsinghpura
Village is described below:
Educational facility
The villages surrounding the site in the radius of 10 Km have schools with primary,
secondary and higher secondary board.
Medical facility
There are primary health centres and private clinic available in the village. Primary
Health center is available at more than 10 Km from Village.
Drinking water facility
The village is having drinking water facility in the form of hand pumps, well water
and tap water. The quality water is fairly suitable for drinking purpose.
Communication facility
The village is having communication facilities in the form of Post Office telephones
and Mobiles
Transportation facility
The village is connected with the city vide well developed roads and railway. The
internal roads of the villages are also well developed by local authorities. Well
transportation facility is present in the region. Bus facility is available in all villages
so, people don‟t face difficulty in accessing the area.

Almost all villages are electrified in the study area but it is mostly available for
domestic purpose.
Economic activity The main economic activity in the study is agriculture. There are many industries
coming up in the nearby town and city. Many people are employed as workers in
these industries as well.
Project Social Impact Details
The social impact assessment for the proposed project study area has been carried out to
identify the positive and negative social impacts and suggested suitable mitigation measures
for the restoration of the project area, if any. The project is proposed on JDA auctioned Plot
for Group Housing Purpose to the M/s Shiv Kripa Build Estate Pvt. Ltd. therefore, there will
no land acquisition induced. Further, as the proposed project does not envisages relocation
of any households and loss of livelihood, so Resettlement and Rehabilitation (RR) Act is not
applicable for the proposed project. Hence there will be no R&R activity and land
acquisition for the proposed project. However proposed project would provide employment
opportunities to the people living in vicinity to project site, improve the existing
infrastructure or create new infrastructure nearby project surrounding area hence the
proposed project will have the positive social impacts.

Need of the Locality:- The residents of surrounding area were interviewed by the company‟s management and
experts from M/s TEAM Institute of Science & Technology Pvt. Ltd. Ltd., to find out their
basic need and expectation.
During the discussion & interactions with the villagers, following points were noted:
i. Requirement of drinking water infrastructure such as Handpump/borewell in the
villages.
ii. Improvement of health facility by organizing general health camp, providing financial
help for treatment, and cleaning/sanitation of village for avoiding water logging to
abate water born diseases distribution
iii. Improvement of educational infrastructure by providing/constructing additional
rooms, computer and library facilities in the schools.
iv. Exploring the possibility for providing opportunities for the employable youth in the
project.
v. Providing support for up-gradation of medical infrastructure in the village.
vi. Other aspects may be explored for development in the villages such as Women
empowerment schemes, providing scholarships to meritorious students, vocational
training, self employment schemes etc., provision of solar street lighting in the
village, development/improvement in sanitation facilities.
The Purohit Harinarayan Rajkiya Ucch Madhayamik School Ramsinghpura (Dhaulai)
Jaipur were surveyed to understand the problems and need of school & support that can be
offered to school for the betterment of school and welfare of students. The survey sheets are
attached at the end of this report. The Needs identified are described below:-

iii. Construction of toilets for students and staff.
iv. Cement flooring in school.
v. Construction of 3 new classroom and one staff room.

vii. Need of black/green board for classrooms.
viii. Installation of fan and tube lights in classroom.
ix. Stationary and school uniform for students.
Purpose of CSR Proposal:-
Based on the CSR methodology adopted and illustrated above and desk research on the
socioeconomic fabric of the project area the CSR program has been designed to focus
towards sustainable holistic development and its willingness to participate and contribute.
The purpose of CSR provision is to ensure the strengthening of company‟s operation to meet
its belief of social responsibility and to strive for the economic & educational development
along with social infrastructure development of locality. As per the survey of locality and the
company‟s philanthropic vision, management has selected following focus area to undertake
under its CSR provisions:-

CSR Framework
The CSR framework is based on environmental, economic and societal concerns. The Vision
Statement for CSR Interventions has been formulated based CSR activities proposed under
the CSR Policy of M/s Shiv Kripa Build Estate Pvt. Ltd. The vision is structured in a manner
that leads to development within the project area as well as in nearby area to project site.
CSR Management System:-
The CSR management system will comprise of an able internal team to strategize and
effectively implement CSR activities.
CSR Strategy
The first step of strategy formulation will be to thoroughly investigate and analyze core CSR
issues that the global community emphasizes by referring to various CSR-related standards,

regulations, principles and guidelines available in the world. The second step towards CSR
strategy formulation would be to understand the perception of communities. This step would
form the basis for identification of sector-wise focus activities.

CSR Action Plan
The initiatives under the CSR Action Plan for socio-economic development will broadly
include the following:
Action-1: Formation CSR Committee to handle CSR activities
Action-2: Raise internal awareness among shareholders, employees and management on
sustainable development
Action-3: Collect stakeholders‟ feedbacks and expectations time to time so that issues
deemed sensitive can be addressed. Socio-Economic activities proposed to be undertaken by
company, primarily in identified two villages.
Action-4: Education Initiatives: School infrastructure development/up-gradation of existing
education infrastructure such as providing classroom furniture (Chairs, tables and
blackboards, etc.), overhead water tank and Provision for improvements to outdoor
infrastructure such as playgrounds support to schools for extracurricular activities.
Action-5: Awareness/Skill Development Initiatives: Training and Awareness initiatives like
medical camps, educational fairs, camps, educational workshop, sports activities etc. In
addition to above, the following measures would be adopted: Unemployed youth registered
with district employment exchange will be selected for skill training.
Action-6: Health-Care Initiatives: Development or up-gradation of first aid/ primary health
centre, Mobile Dispensary, support for conducting special health awareness camps,
immunization camps, eye camps, Construction of soak pits, toilet blocks etc., for the
communities in the project area.
Action-7: Social Infrastructure Development Initiatives Support in development of drinking
facilities.
Action-8: Promotion of Renewal Energy Schemes such as solar street lighting in the village
streets, schools etc.
Action-9: Taking active participation for primary education and support to the “Beti Bachao,
Beti Padhao” campaign.
