Federal bank The CSR policy of Federal Bank has been characterized by active participation in various social welfare and charitable projects all over the country. The CSR policy of the bank prescribes the areas and geographies so that the bank can make a meaningful effect in these focus areas. It focuses mainly on the following core areas 1. Education 2. Your Organization.Your Bank is observing the Year of Sunshine - a noble effort to take care for Senior Citizens and empowerment of underprivileged youth. Some of the major activities undertaken by the Bank during the year are as follows. • As part of CSR activities, bank donated a school bus to Mar Athanasius Rehabilitation Centre, Perumbavoor. • Samaritan Home, Thalassery, run by sisters for the aged and destitute people, was started in 2005. The bank extended support for digging a tube well, as they were facing acute water shortage. • Donated touch screen Tablets for Nirmala Training Center for early detection and treatment of children with Autism, Kakkanad. • Donated a Maruti Omni as a Home Care Vehicle to the Pain and Palliative Care Society, Medical College, Kozhikode. • Organized a seminar on “Women’s well Being” with Rotary Club of Chennai on 20th April 2013. The federal bank supported the interactive session which was highly noted for the presence of specialists from the related field. • Sensory room for mentally challenged children of Chavara special school, Koonammavu- Varapuzha. Federal Bank assisted the organization in setting up a “Sensory Room” for the mentally challenged children were the Kids could engage safely in sensory based activities that help regulate central nervous system and thus leading to an increased quality of life. • Donated a School Van to KRIPA Special School, a

(Based on CSR activities given in AR)Assistance to Uttarakhand:The State of Uttarakhand was hit by torrential rains followed by cloudbursts, landslides and flash floods, washing away dwelling houses, roads and bridges. As a responsible Corporate Citizen, the Bank donatedRupees One crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Uttarakhand, towards relief and rehabilitation of the victims.13.2.2 Other CSR initiatives:The Bank has supported several initiatives in the field of Education, Development of infrastructure, Rural development, Health and Hygiene and Promotion of Art and Culture. Dena Bank8.12 Corporate Social Responsibility8.12.01 Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs)Dena Bank has set up a Society known as Dena Rural DevelopmentFoundation (DRDF) with a corpus of ` 350.00 lac. DRDF in turn has setup 12 Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) in its leaddistricts viz (i) Ahmedabad, (ii) Kutch, (iii) Mehsana, (iv) Banaskantana,(v) Sabarkanta (vi) Patan in the state of Gujarat, (vii) Durg, (viii)Dhamtari (ix) Mahasamund (x) Raipur (xi) Rajnandgaon in the stateof Chattisgarh and (xii) Silvassa in the U. T. of Dadra & Nagar Haveliwhere bank is shouldering the responsibility of lead bank.Bank has initiated steps for construction of building at 4 RSETII centresnamely Mehsana, Palanpur, Patan & Ahmedabad. Additional amountof ` 3.86 crore has been committed for construction of RSETIs building.

During the grading exercise for the year 2012-13 by Ministry of RuralDevelopment, Govt. of India, RSETI Patan & Dhamtari has been graded‘AA’, 7 RSETI’s as ‘BA’ & 2 RSETI’s as ‘BB’.8.12.02 Sponsoring Education of Girl ChildAs a part of corporate social Responsibility, the Bank had introduceda Noble scheme viz. Dena Laxmi Shiksha Protsahan Yojana tosponsor education of Girl students in the villages served by the Bank.The scheme aims at providing a scholarship of ` 2000/- and ` 1500/-per annum to girl students belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL)family, selected from each of the schools based on first and secondrank respectively secured in 7th Standard, from the villages under thecommand area of the Bank. The Bank has so far provided scholarshipsto 2,447 girl students under the scheme.8.12.03 Mediclaim policy for DKCC borrowersAs a part of corporate social responsibility, Bank under tie-up with UnitedIndia Insurance Company (UIIC) has devised a scheme for the benefitof farmers to provide free cashless mediclaim facility to the farmers& their family members with cover up to Rupees Thirty Thousand. Acorpus of ` 8.00 crore has been allocated for this scheme.

Educating TribalsDuring the year 2013-14, the Bank has sponsored 98 EkalVidyalaya School in association with M/s Friends of TribalsSociety, an NGO to attack illiteracy at the grass root levelthrough a unique concept viz. “One teacher School” orEkal Vidyalaya. Chidambaram Chettyar,continued to provide Entrepreneurial Development Trainingto women, thereby empowering them socially and financiallyto meet the challenges. During 2013-14, 9 Skill DevelopmentProgrammes were conducted in various Regions under aegisof Sakthi - IOB Chidambaram Chettyar Memorial Trust, 245women have been trained.
