The Woden Club hosted the ACT Club of the Year Awards presentation recently. The Canberra Southern Cross Club was pleased to win the following awards:

In recent times, members have asked for greater variety in dining options and I am now pleased to announce the opening of Chong Co Thai Fine Dining and Cocktail Bar at the Woden venue. Chong Co has an excellent reputation in Canberra for quality, contemporary Thai cuisine.

The Woden Anytime fitness gym has been relocated and can now be found upstairs in the Paul’s Centre in Phillip.

The Club’s website has a new fresh look and is easier and quicker to navigate. I urge all members to connect with the Club and our online community body.

And finally, after eleven years at the Canberra Southern Cross Club, ten as Chief Executive Officer, it is time that I seek new challenges. Therefore I have decided not to request any further extension of my employment contract which is due to expire later this year. I will complete my services at the Club on July 1 2014.

My time at the Club has been very rewarding over the years. I have met many wonderful people and have had the pleasure of working with a very proficient and dedicated management team and staff. Thank you to everyone at the Canberra Southern Cross Club.

I wish the Board of Directors, Management, Staff and Members all the best for the future.
