BIRMINGHAMWelcome to Birmingham. Today the group will arrive and make their way to the hotel. Enjoy a day at leisure settling in to your home for the next 5 days and then join us for an evening welcome drink as we get to know our group, and get the details for travelling to the NEC for Crufts.

CRUFTS SHOWThe excitement of Crufts kicks off! Tickets to the exhibition are included for each day of the show as well as tickets to the Best in Show presentation on Sunday night.

BIRMINGHAM – COTSWOLDS – BRISTOLDepart Birmingham and travel into the charming Cotswolds region and stop at Bourton-on-the-Water. Set on the River Windrush, this town is regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England. There’s time to look around or visit one of the tea shops before continuing to Chedworth to visit the Roman Villa, the remains of one of the grandest Roman villas in Britain. Then continue to Bristol for a 2 night stay.

BATH, TYNTESFIELD, LACOCKThis morning travel to the charming city of Bath, where we visit the Roman Baths. Then travel to Tyntesfield, a spectacular Victorian Gothic Revival house with extensive gardens and parkland that is registered by the National Trust. On the way back to Bristol, stop in the picturesque town of Lacock, used as a movie location for ‘Pride & Prejudice’ and ‘Harry Potter’.

EXMOOR NATIONAL PARK – LYNMOUTH – BIDEFORDBegin the day with a stop in the medieval village of Dunster, with its picturesque cottages. Within the village you will find over 200 listed buildings as well as the 17th Century yarn market which is where wool and cloth were once traded. Then drive through the unique landscape of Exmoor National Park with its moorland, woodland, valleys and coastline which has been shaped by people and nature over thousands of years. Enjoy free time lunch in the Devonshire village of Lynmouth where you may consider a ride on the famous funicular cliff lift. Later travel to the historic port town of Bideford.

Immerse yourself in a myriad of stalls and vendors, meander through the five halls meeting friends and dogs from around the world. Slip into the infamous Arena to rest your feet and marvel at the world class Dancing with Dogs.

Slip into the infamous Arena to rest your feet and marvel at the world class Dancing with Dogs. If you would prefer a day or two break from Crufts, your hotel is centrally located to the Birmingham town centre where you can book a local tour or do some sightseeing of your own.

Day 11&12Day 10

EXETER – STONEHENGE – SALISBURY – LONDONTravel to rural Wiltshire and visit the mystical ancient monoliths at Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain. Visit the town of Salisbury with its cathedral rising up from the lush green fields before continuing onto London. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional London Pub.

DAY 12: FAREWELL LONDON Your tour ends today after breakfast with a transfer to the airport. Talk to your personal travel manager about arranging your international flight, extending your stay in London or even travelling to another destination in the UK or Europe.

EXPLORING THE CORNISH COASTToday we explore the Cornish Coast. In the maritime city of Plymouth view the historical Mayflower Steps. Then drive along the Cornish Coast, famous for smugglers’ covers and quaint fishing villages. Discover St Ives, a popular resort with artists and tourists. Enjoy views of St Michael’s Mount near Penzance. Then return to Exeter where dinner is at a local restaurant.

Day 9

BIDEFORD TO EXETERDrive along the north Cornish Coast and stop to enjoy views of the ruined Tintagel castle, steeped in mystery and legend and reputedly the birthplace of King Arthur. Travel through the English countryside, enjoying lunch en-route, before arriving in Exeter. On arrival, join a local guide for a tour of this University Town including the impressive Cathedral. This evening is at leisure.
