CRT/N Introduction

• Establishment– Initiated as a private sector organisation in 1989– Registered as a national NGO in 1998

• Aim– Develop, promote and disseminate environmentally sound

rural/appropriate technologies• Staff Strength

– Around 60+ (Engineers, Environmentalists, Technicians; Management Experts; Socio-economists; Gender Experts)

• Office Units– 3 Regional Unit covering 40+ districts under various programs/projects

Future Plan

RTKC’s 5 year roadmap has been in progress with very ambitious mission of proving itself as a center of excellence. For which the collaboration have been considered a vital approach. Some of the important components of the road map are:- Improved Testing Service – Additional equipments, well-trained staffs- Knowledge development and Sharing – Demonstration plots, newsletters, publications- Enhanced Research and Development on Cookstoves – student support programmes- Promoting cooking/heating solution – promotional workshops, awareness campaigns, designing projects
