Tragedy has many faces, and each experience is unique. CISM is designed to support people through stressful events. Our CISM team is there to support your employees through immediate and compassionate assistance, any time—day or night. CISM offers and helps employees process and cope with the emotional and physical impacts of a traumatic event. CISM counselors can help support employees immediately which helps minimize the long-term effects on the individual and the organization. CISM can also help increase productivity and workplace performance through a reduction in absenteeism. The program has been proven to increase employee morale and reduce legal risk through workplace safety risk management. Best Practices Deliver the Best Solutions Magellan’s CISM process begins with a centralized, dedicated team of administrative and clinical professionals specially trained in CISM. Our team has an average of 15 years of experience supporting individuals dealing with traumatic events. They are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and have access to a network of specially trained CISM providers nationwide. Once a determination of need is made and an initial assessment has occurred, Magellan sends a CISM facilitator to the employer’s site within an appropriate and agreed upon time frame. This facilitator will conduct an onsite structured intervention to help manage the incident.
