Methylamphetamine literally eats away at the body fat and muscles. High-intensity abusers often lose up to 50kg.

Central Pallor

Methylamphetamine raises blood pressure and increases pulse rate. This in turn, constricts the blood vessels at the skin's surface and leads to pale and gaunt complexion.

The abuser's teeth also suffer firstly turning grey and then black.

Degradation of the teeth can be from the drug use itself (Acidic gases produced from smoking amphetamine), poor hygiene, or from the use of inferior or substituted chemical ingredients used in the manufacturing process.

High Intensity Abuse IndicatorsScars/Open Sores on Exposed Skin

* The scars indicate that the abuser has experienced formication or "crank bugs." Formication is an advanced form of Methylamphetamine-induced hallucination during which the abuser feels bugs on/under his skin. The individual scratches at the "bugs," trying to remove them, but instead the abuser gouges the skin, leaving scars. Open sores indicate recent Methylamphetamine use.
