Location
Morzine is in Haute Savoie, part of the French Alps, only 1½ hours drive from Geneva
airport and a short ½ hour drive north up a beautiful forested mountain road from the A40
valley motorway at Cluses. Because Morzine is only at 1,000 m altitude, the roads are
reliable and usually remain open even in the snowiest conditions.
Creve Coeur is within a larger chalet building that looks over the church at the centre of
town with easy access to the supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants, as well as to the
skibus and cable cars to the extensive skiing.

boots and skis in the basement.

Winter in Morzine
Morzine is perfectly situated in the middle of the largest skiing area in Europe. The ‘Portes
Du Soleil’ has over 650 km of lovely open pistes, snow-parks and fast modern lifts.
Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz offer
an amazing variety of skiing from
gentle slopes to challenging reds
and blacks.
Apart from skiing there are loads of
other fun things to do. On offer is
tobogganing, mountain trekking,
snow-mobiling, snowshoeing, ice
skating, watching the Morzine
Penguins ice hockey team or for the
brave, parapenting.
Summer in Morzine
Morzine offers a huge array of mountain activities in the summer. The area is now a major
centre for mountain biking, offering exciting downhill trails from the ski lifts.
The Lac de Montriond is about 5 km from Morzine, nestled in a beautiful forested valley
and perfect for canoeing, biking, walking and swimming.
Tennis and swimming are available in the Palais Du Sport in town and there is lots to keep
kids entertained with tree rope bridges, pony trekking, summer luge and waterfall abseiling
just for starters! The ‘Fantasticable’ is a great zip wire experience in nearby Chatel while
canyoning, white water rafting, hot air ballooning and golf are all available.
