movement Ph.D. Barbara Re
Movement analysis
Inertial sensors are designed to convert, or transduce, a physical phenomenon into a measurable signal. The physical phenomenon is an inertial force.
State of the art
Usage scenarios are almost exclusively academic type, are often used by researchers, but laks a real large-scale usage.
What does it mean?
The use of these sensors is not within reach of all.
Main purpose of CREMU project
Provide a platform for people who have to care rehabilitation.
Goals of the project
• Centralize data collection from the sensor to allow an accurate analysis by doctors.
• Bring motion analysis at home providing a quantitative and qualitative measurement.
• Creation of a hardware and software package that allows users to be albe to have these technologies without high purchase costs and having to call specialists for installation in home.
• Process human movement to provide real-time feedback to send to patient.
