Pre Production• In terms of creativity in Pre Production I felt that I myself was very creative. The first reason as to why I thought this was because of the sheer amount of work I put in to developing my simple short log line in to a huge piece. I made sure that I viewed multiple thrillers and crime dramas to make sure that my knowledge of Camera, Editing and Mise-en-scene grew improving my final product significantly. Proof of this research is more than visible in my AS blog which highlights my interest in the thriller genre and the films themselves with the constant use of examples in my evaluation.

•A lot of my creativity and clever aspects of the film were also from editing and producing our version of Reservoir Dogs opening sequence, certain aspects of creativity came to life with the need to put the overall film down to a slower pace, allowing us to learn multiple editing techniques guaranteeing us a higher mark and transferring the skills through to the next production element.

• We have now learnt from this that the camera angles used and shot sizes must be exact and portray to the audience exactly what mood your trying to give off, which is most likely the genre of the film. Reservoir Dogs' for example is an upbeat Italian gangster film and so you need all of the props, camera angles and effects that highlight this, we have learnt that setting and props are also important, for example if for our final opening sequence we want to create one of the Thriller genre the lighting must be darkened and it cannot really be filmed in daylight otherwise the impression on the audience will not be effective at all.

ProductionI really felt that the creativity element of our production was strong with many elementsBeing added to enhance the overall quality of the production. For example I felt the draw

Full of weapons strongly enhanced the realism of our thriller film and allowed the audience toIdentify which character was which within the film. We also used other aspects in terms of camera

Work in terms of how we decided to shoot the unknown phone call with the image of Jack’s sonSet as his screensaver to address the equilibrium to the audience. Another part of my planning for The sheer creativity of our production was the element of relationships, something I learned to use

Through watching multiple thrillers such as Taken which has an extremely strong relationship bond between father and daughter which creates further empathy within the audience. I also felt that some of

the editing was also extremely creative as I have mentioned in the blog post for this PowerPoint.

•A further element of my creativity as the director and script writer for the sequence was also brought to reality via Connor’s editing skills, we wanted to show Jack becoming more stressed as time went by highlighting to the

audience that he is sick and tired of his day job. This was made possible with a montage easily showing the audience that the time on the wall clock represented time passing within the opening sequence also cleverly

allowing us to move the time of day onwards for a new scene and to display the titles for the sequence.

Post Production• In terms of our market research and planning I felt that we were extremely creative in the

utilisation of several strategies. For example, I chose to replicate rather than challenge the ideology's around character description in Ultimatum, I wanted myself and Jack to resemble the two lead characters in Inception, this is because I feel that Inception themselves have replicated the thriller genre perfectly. Sticking to a genre with the publicity and admiration of many. I also made sure that when we advertised the film it appealed to the set audience that we had agreed in pre production, achievable through the narrative and characters within the film.

• Furthermore, thanks to my trip to the BFI and my vast research in to distribution and creativity I realised that companies such as the BFI hold London film festivals for films who need to find a company, an extremely cost effective and creative way to market and target specific audiences for the film, furthermore we also utilised YouTube to make sure that a wide, blurred audience could find the film.
