Bloom 2014 held at Lot 1

shopper mall aims to create a platform for

floristry lovers to share their passion with

general public. The theme revolves around

the concept of " Bloom", which signify the

blooming of flowers and young talents. A

professional floral arrangement competition

was held to discover new talents and

allowing them to leverage on the event to

gain recognition in floral industry.

Apart from competition, a separate

segment- Career consultation which allows

public audience to have an insight on the

industry, providing career opportunity for

interested parties. Performance such as

singing and dance was held on stage to

attract passer-by and games with prizes that

entices audience to participate the event.

Good Game

Convention 2014 was Singapore's biggest eSports-focused

gaming convention. Happened at Suntec

Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on

26-28th December 2014, GGC2014 hosted a

variety of gaming events, the highlight of

which is the OK.- DOTA 2 Cup - with a prize

pool of S$50,000 with 6 regional teams flew

in from overseas to compete with our 2 local

teams.

This is the largest Dota 2 tournament in Southeast Asia

in 2014. It aims to gather gaming hobbyist to share their

passion and gain recognition of esports in Singapore.

Apart from DOTA 2 competition, there were Counter

Strike : Global Offensive 5 verus 5, Battlefield 4 -

Coaching / 5v5 Domination Showcase Session and

Hearthstone Fireside gathering.

The opening of Academia was held in it's

auditorium on 20 July 2013 by the Guest of Honour

President of Singapore Mr Tony Tan. Academia is the new

home for SGH’s Department of Pathology. It aims to boost

the current translational and clinical research efforts by

encouraging interconnectivity and collaboration between

pathologists, clinician-scientists, researchers, academics,

educators as well as medical students
