Information for Event Hire

Early Arrivals Guests who arrive early will not be able to access the venue until the time indicated on your quotation.Please also ensure your suppliers are aware of access times.

A cleaning fee of $160+ gst applies for all events.

Should you require a dedicated Cloak attendant or ticketing system, the charge is $35.00+ gst per hour.

Security is required for all events when more than background music is being played at the discretion of the venue.

Event hire Terms

Consumption of alcohol is to only be done on the premises of the venue of hire. Studio 281 reserves the right to shut down any event should the hirer, or guests of any hirer breach the terms stated in this clause.

Due to the surrounding residential areas, noise levels should be kept at minimum, reasonable levels. All loud music, or equipment that generates loud noises are to be shut off by 10pm.Studio 281 reserves the right to shut down any event should the hirer, or guests of any hirer breach the terms stated in this clause.

Information for Event Hire

Quotations and

Bookings

Quotations are valid for 14 business days from date ofquotation unless otherwise specified. A deposit equal to 50% of the venue hire fee is required to confirm a booking.Quotes will be confirmed so a deposit invoice can be issued. Studio 281 reserves the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received within the prescribed times

Should you wish to cancel your confirmed booking, a written notice is required. After a venue hire deposit has been paid, results in the forfeit of the deposit.

Pricing is based on current and expected cost increases, any change in price will be advised within 1 month of your event.

Full payment of the final invoice must be received as cleared funds 14 business days prior to your event.

EFT (direct deposit) payments must be referenced in accordance to the tax invoice. Studio 281 reserves the right to cancel booking if payment is not received within the prescribed times.

Final Payment

Duration of event is as per times confirmed in final documentation.Any requirement to extend event times can be requested. Approval of such requests is at the discretion of Studio 281 and will require a signed form confirming acceptance of additional charges. If request is rejected, guests must vacate premises by agreed finishing time.

Information for Event Hire

Clients will be financially responsible for any damage to the building, furniture, fixtures and fittings prior to, during, and after the event. Clients are also responsible for any damage caused by their guests, or outside contractors, prior to, during and after the event.

Studio 281 holds no responsibility for loss or damage of personal items of the client and their guests, prior to, during or after the event. Venue staff (ticketing/ cloack attendants/ servers) are dedicated to looking after guests and their belongings; however accept no responsibility for the damage or loss of property in our venue, prior to, during or after the event.

Insurance

The hirer shall be liable for and indemnifies Studio 281 from and against all damages and expenses for which Studio 281 shall or may be or become liable in respect of the breach of any such laws, arising out of or in the course of the Function.

Miscallenous costs

All sound, electrical and lighting requirements, signs, banners and decorations connected with the hiring of space must be approved by Studio 281 before the Function or commencement of lease, and may be the subject of a further charge.

Catering

Catering can be requested and provided by Studio 281. Allow at least 7 business days prior to your event to make arrangements.

For large-scale events, we recommend the services of a professionalAV provider. Studio 281 is more than happy to discuss your needs and recommend appropriate AV suppliers.

Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any wall, door,floors or other surfaces of the building unless approved.Signage in public areas need to be kept to a minimum. Studio 281 reserves rights to approve such requests.

-Studio 281 must be notified of all external contractors, suppliers and delivery arrangments prior to the event including delivery times, description and contact numbers for security purposes. -All Caterers and Cleaning staff to vacate premises by 11pm
