First of all, I would like to say thank to Allah SWT who always blesses and

guides me in a good and right way. I also thank to all people especially for my beloved

parents Mama, Papa, my little sister Zelin, my lecturers and my friends, who always

give me support, motivation and guidance in completing this final report. This final

report was written to fulfill the requirement in obtaining the English Diploma Program

Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Sebelas Maret University.

This final report entitled “Creating Official English Tourism Website for

Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Karanganyar” discusses the activities done by the

writer while doing internship and how the writer did those activities and applied her

problem solving ability to solve the problems that were faced while doing internship.

I realized that this final report is far from being perfect, but I hope this final

report can be beneficial to the readers. I also hope that the readers give positive

criticisms and suggestions to improve this final report.

ABSTRACT

Bella Ednica Putri 2016.Creating Official English Tourism Website for Dinas

Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kanganyar.English Diploma III Program, Faculty of

Cultural and Sciences, Sebelas Maret University.

This final report is written based on the internship done at Dinas Pariwisata dan

Kebudayaan Karanganyar for a month. The objective of this report is to explain to the

readers about the report of the internship program in creating official English tourism

website for Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Karanganyar. The promotion that has

been done by Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Karanganyar is only throughout in

Indonesia. In facts the potential of tourism in Karanganyar can be promoted into

worldwide. Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Karanganyar has no strategy to promote

their tourism destination worldwide. It is proven that Dinas Pariwisata dan

Kebudayaan Karanganyar needs an English language tourism website to promote their

tourism destinations worldwide and to increase the visitors of tourism destinations in

Karanganyar especially for the foreign tourists.

From that objective, the writer expects that Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan

Karanganyar can apply this English language tourism website to be the promotion

strategy in the Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Karanganyar. The data of this final

report were obtained by doing interview and observation. The interview was done with

the leader of tourism marketing of Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Karanganyar and

the tour guides of the tourism destinations to the research. The observation was

conducted during the internship.
