What is a Screencast?

• A digital movie that captures the actions taking place on a computer screen, usually with a voice narration.

• Screencasting as a teaching tool: – Tutorials– Demonstrations – Presentations (e.g., Narrated PowerPoint )

• Screencasting & flipped classroom
