The final day of the 2018 SMSA National Training Summit will be held at the Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area in Rancho Cordova, CA, 30 minutes from Sacramento.
Experience a replica of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program’s Professional Development Workshops. The PDW session will include: Riding Sessions on various locations within the Prairie City Recreation Area:
closed circuit/track riding at “street speeds” on the twisty go‐cart track; dirt bike riding for improved street skills; proper line selection; and gymkhana precision riding.
Industry Classroom Sessions include: Ethics and risk management, Sexual harassment, and Crucial conversations
Consumer Classroom Sessions include: How to reduce fear, improve concentration and have the right attitude for
safe riding, The basic physics of how motorcycles turn, and Minimizing risk while maximizing fun on a motorcycle.
Riders are encouraged to bring their own motorcycle, if possible. If you are without, various demo motorcycles will be provided for use on the track and on the gymkhana course. Dirt bikes and basic dirt bike gear will be provided for all riders.
Non‐riders are welcome. There will be plenty of opportunities to see the action from our special observation points.
It will be a fun day for everyone! Please join us to experience the latest trends in Motorcycle Safety.

Sunday, September 16, 2018 Riding Gear and Motorcycles: Training motorcycles and helmets provided by the California Motorcylist Safe Program (CMSP). Other Riding Gear: Attendees must bring all of their own riding gear (e.g., motorcycling specific jackets, gloves, pants, shoes/boots, etc.), except for dirt bike riding (basic bikes and gear provided). Own Motorcycle: Attendees are welcome to ride their own motorcycle during activities (SMSA, CMSP and Total Control, Inc. are not responsible for damage to participant’s motorcycles).
