Look how much I love you!Have you ever wanted to show someone how much you love them? Now you can with this fun paper craft. It is a project ideal for Val-entine’s, Mother’s and Father’s Day or any day you want to show that you love someone. This is a great project for beginners. It helps teach basic cutting and tracing skills as well as writing.

Here’s what you need for the proj-ect:

* Construction paper in the colors of your choice* Markers, crayons or colored pen-cils* Glue or tape* Scissors* Yarn in your choice of color* A pencil

Step 1: Begin by holding the yarn in one hand pulling it with the other until it is the length of your arm-span. Cut when you have reached the correct length.

Step 2: Next, trace your hands onto a piece of paper in the color of your choice. Do the same with a heart, either tracing or drawing it freehand. Cut all three pieces out.

Step 3: Glue or tape a hand to each end of the string. Glue or tape the heart in the middle. Notice how the string looks like a pair of arms!

Congratulations! Now your piece is finished and you can show that special someone how much you love them!

Step 4: Flip your piece over and using a marker, crayon or colored pencil write “Look how much I love you!” on the heart.

Hey kids! Did you make this project? How did it turn out? With your parents permission you can share your pictures on the blog at creativekidscrafts.wordpress.com!

Alligator Magnet

If you’re looking for a cute way to hold notes on your fridge, look no further than this cute alliga-tor magnet! Now all of your notes can stay in one place thanks to the clenched jaw of this alligator. It’s an easy project that is as fun as it is functional!

Things you’ll need:

* Clothespin * Markers (optional) * Paint * Paintbrush * Glue * Glitter * Googly eyes * Stick-on magnets

Step 1: Begin by painting your clothespin with green paint. Poster paint is your best option but if water colors are all you have, go for it! If you are a younger child or don’t have any paint available, markers and crayons work too. Let the clothespin dry if needed.

Step 2: Once the clothespin is dry add a decorative design with yellow paint. You can add dots, stripes, anything your heart desires. While the yellow paint is still wet, sprinkle with glitter in the color of your choice. Let dry. If you have used crayons or markers, omit the glitter or apply it with glue.

Step 3: Using craft glue, place goo-gly eyes on the clothespin closest to the “mouth.” Let dry.

Now you have a cute alligator magnet. His jaws open wide with plenty of room to hold your most important papers and he’s happiest hanging out on your fridge.

Hey kids! Can you do this project with a different animal? How about a dragonfly with paper wings and a glittery body? Using different colors and a little imagination, you can do anything!

Step 4: Using the stick-on magnets, place one on the back of your clothespin. If you don’t have stick-on magnets simply glue a regular magnet to the back of your clothespin and let dry.

Magnificent Mail HolderWhen it comes to getting orga-nized, nothing is more fun than making your own magnificent mail holder. Using an empty cereal box, you can create a fun way to hold all of your mail.

Things you’ll need:

* Empty cereal box* Construction paper* Pencil* Ruler* Glue or tape* Scissors* Markers or crayons* Stickers or other decorations (optional)

Step 1: Using your ruler as a guide, draw a straight line from the top left corner of your box down to the right side of your box. Do not go too low on the right side. A good rule of thumb is to match the left corner of your ruler to the bottom corner of the box as shown, being sure to draw your line on the oppo-site side of the ruler. Flip your box over and repeat.

Step 2: Once all of your lines have been drawn, carefully cut them out. Cut each diagonal line and then cut across the front. Discard excess cardboard.

Step 3: Using craft glue or tape, stick the colored paper of your choice to each side of the box.

Step 5: Your box should now look like the one above. Using markers, crayons, stickers, paper or any decorations of your choice, decorate the box. Write “mail” on the front and back of your mail holder (the original skinny sides of the cereal box).

Step 4: Carefully cut around the excess paper. This step should be a cinch since the sides of your box are your guide.
