Hello all! As you may or may not know, Ball State University is currently testing andreviewing CPE products on our WiMAX network. The latest product we have tested is theTecom WM 5033-2G5 router. Our results are as follows.

The tests for this particular CPE were conducted on the Ball State WiMAX networkcomprised of 3 Cisco BWX 8305 (5 MHz) WiMAX base stations and 2 Cisco BWX 8415(10 MHz) WiMAX base stations. The signal strength observed during the test was between-70dB and -68dB. The Carrier to noise ratio (CNR) was around 22dB.

A 130MB file was used to conduct the ftp upload test. It took almost double the time(compared to the download test) at 6 minutes and 15 seconds. The average speed observedduring the test was 3.9 Mbps.
