If you are caring for a COVID-19 patient at home, follow these tips to protect yourself and others. You also need to adhere to this information when taking care of asymptomatic patients.

● Wear a 3-ply face mask and discard the mask immediately after tending to the patient.

● Keep a 1 meter distance and spend less than 15 minutes if you must be in the same room with the patient.

● Sanitize and wash your hands with soap and water frequently.

● Clean and disinfect touched surfaces at home, especially in the bathroom.

● Assist patients with daily needs such as leaving food and drinks outside their room, filling prescriptions, and washing their clothes immediately.

● Make sure patients get enough rest, eat healthy food, and drink enough water.

● Handle any eating utensils used by the patient with gloves. Wash with soap and hot water. Wash hands after removing gloves.

● Do not share personal items such as plates, cups, towels, or electronic equipment (such as cell phones) with patients.

● Monitor yourself for COVID-19 symptoms while caring for positive patients.
