COVID-19 TestingSuburban Hospital – Bethesda, MD

Your doctor would like you to undergo testing for COVID-19 and has placed an order. Within 24 hours, you will receive a call from a coordinator, who will schedule an appointment for you. We would like you to come to a Johns Hopkins facility community-collection site (NOT the Emergency Department) for this nonemergency testing. Testing requires an appointment: Please do not come to the hospital or testing facility without the appointment. For the safety of others, if possible, please come alone. If others come with you, they should remain in the car while you are at the hospital. Do NOT use public transportation or rideshare. Please bring a government-issued photo ID.

Suburban Hospital: Bethesda, Maryland

Please come to the testing garage site at Suburban Hospital, located at 8600 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD, 20814. This testing site does allow scheduled patients to walk to the testing site when necessary.

Follow the directions below for testing at Suburban Hospital:1. Upon entry from Old Georgetown Road, drive around to the parking

garage entry gate.2. Drive up to gate on the left. Tell the parking attendant you are here for

drive through testing.3. Parking attendant will open the gate and instruct you to turn left.4. Drive forward. Next parking attendant will request you present your

picture ID.5. Do not hand your ID: Simply hold it up so the attendant can view. Please

keep your window closed.6. Attendant will instruct you to drive around to the testing site where you

will be given testing instructions. At no time do you need to exit your vehicle. Please do not bring other individuals with you unless absolutely necessary.

7. If passenger is to be tested, please have that person sit in the back seat behind driver.
