Psalm 321 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.2 Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

Psalm 323 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted awaythrough my groaning all day long.4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah

Psalm 325 I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

Psalm 326 Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.

Psalm 327 You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

Psalm 329 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you.10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD.

Take-aways…1. Sin is a condition of the heart not

just an action informed by the mind.2. Confession opens the door to

covering, and our covering comes by way of the Gospel.

Titus 2.11-1411 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

Titus 2.11-1413 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

Take-aways…3. Living out our justification in Christ

is the beginning of freedom from sin.

Romans 3.21-2621 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:

Romans 3.21-2623 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Romans 3.21-2625 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

Romans 3.21-2626 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
