In May of 2015, I received my Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering in Clemson University. The program at Clemson University is intensive and gave me hands on experience to become a qualified environmental engineer. My primary focus involved water and waste water treatment, and I am well-trained for the conduct of elements of water quality and environmental engineering studies. As indicated by my resume, my professional experience is solid and well-rounded. The internships in Shanghai Academy of Environmental Science provided me great experience of preparing a construction revision plan for a storm water pump station. I also was a team member on several scientific studies and field investigations. The internships in Helmholtz-Centre Geesthacht, Germany provided me valuable experience of working in a team and cooperating with others on a project of developing a sensing device for detection of glyphosate in seawater; it was a great experience to cooperate and communicate with other environmental engineers and scientists in the team. The internships in Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd gave me an opportunity to work in an industrial company. Besides conducting water indices analysis, I took part in the planning and designing of the wastewater infrastructures under instructions of senior engineers. That experience greatly helped me to get familiar with the wastewater treatment plant pipelines and the whole treatment process. The master research I conducted with my advisor Dr. Karanfil provided me a solid background of environmental engineering, the water/wastewater treatment courses and researches also provided me valuable knowledge about the planning and designing of water/wastewater collection, treatment and disposal system. As a result of these experiences, not only am I qualified for this position, I will thoroughly enjoy it! Beyond my enthusiasm for this opening, I offer all the essential elements it requires. I firmly believe my experience, education and background would enable me to make a significant contribution.
