$8,000 18”h x 24”w Bronze edition of 7 “The Spin at Liberty” is a 1/4 scale maquette of a quarter horse stallion, Country Bay Berry, performing the reining horse spin (at liberty). I was so inspired watching this stallion spin in his reining routine; I wanted to capture that movement in bronze and portray the feeling of roundness, throughout the piece. He literally gets in a ball and spins like a top. He is an amaz-ing stallion with a sweet personality. He even smiles when he is performing. I have sculpted that smile and his big soft eyes in the sculpture as well. Shown at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in the Reined Sport Horse Foundation suites.

“Abundance”

$2,800 18”h x 20”w Bronze edition of 17 The symbolism in this sculpture is based on traditional Native American beliefs that the bison represented abundance. In many cultures the horse represents power. The combination of the two totems is the power of belief transforming into action. 2011 8th place in Ex Arte Equinus 4 International Art Show. Shown at American Academy of Equine Art show 2009. Displayed in the Town Hall of Chino Japan.

Tammy Bality “The Dun-Cave Horse Art”

$3,500 17”h x 10” Bronze edition of 17 (combined with Prairie Thunder) I’ve always been fascinated by the cave art of Lascaux France and the “cave horses”. This dun horse is jumping out of the rock, there is a detail of rock art on the face of the rock. Shown at American Academy of Equine Art show 2009 and 2011 9th place in Ex Arte Equinus 4 International Art Show.

“Prairie Thunder”

$3,500 17” x 10” Bronze edition of 17 (combined with The Dun) “Prairie Thunder” is a cowgirl and horse emerging from a rock, like a clap of thunder. Together they are full of spirit and life; she is confident and in control, but having fun-- the horse is wild, powerful and fiery, but not angry or mean. They are all attributes or emotions we seek in our own lives. Shown at the Red River Valley Museum, Vernon, TX; Red River Valley Museum International Juried Art Exhibition

The Spirit of Women by Tammy Bality In the dawn of her years She’s youthful as spring Full of energy like a filly She prances and flirts with her hair flying high

The pattern of life tumbles, moment over moment At noontime when the sun is high A fine young maiden Soars like the hawk With vision and purpose

The pattern of life repeats itself, one day to the next When twilight embraces She becomes the mother Tending responsibilities and caring for others Like the harvest moon o’er wheaten fields, she glows with warmth

The pattern of life repeats itself, day after day She is wisdom now In the stillness of midnight Still strong, still radiant, she welcomes her wintertime Now many creatures come…

Raven shows the waning moon Hawk reflects her intellect Horse carries her on a dreamer’s journey Her spirit is larger than her life

The pattern of life repeats itself, generation after generation

Tammy Bality

Biography About Tammy Bality As an only child growing up on the Colorado farm her family originally homesteaded in 1875, Tammy Bality shared a special connection with animals: The horses, calves, dogs, cats, and birds were her friends. Ever since she could hold a crayon, art has been Tammy’s form of expression. Tammy now creates sculptures that capture animals’ life force and honor their spirits. Compelled to create Tammy has always felt a bond with animals and aimed to recreate that feeling in art, but it wasn’t until the 1988 Loveland Sculpture Show that she felt compelled to try her hand at sculpting bronze. Drawing on a variety of life experiences and technical workshops, Tammy developed her own signature style utilizing different techniques and media to create unique pieces repre-senting our interconnectedness with animals. Mixing media and melding heritages People have always had a spiritual connection to animals through the millennia, whether it’s through Native American folklore or Celtic mythology, and Tammy aims to honor that through her artwork. Growing up in Colorado, Tammy loved the tributes to animals incorporating antlers, fur, feather and stone seen in Native American artwork. These tributes lead the artist to delve into her own heritage, exploring Swedish, Irish and Scottish history for inspiration and she was thrilled to discover that her Druid and Viking ancestors also had animal totems and tributes. Tammy combines traditional influences with a variety of media and sculpting techniques to create innovative art that gives voice to nature’s spirit. She sculpts horses, dogs, birds of prey, bulls and bears from clay, bronze and crystal, incorporating silver and stone as well. Tammy enjoys exploring the strengths of each medium – the freedom and spontaneity of ceramic, the strength and precision of bronze, the luminosity and intrigue of crystal – and complementing their weaknesses with the strengths of the others.

Art on a Grand Scale In the scope of Tammy’s body of work, you will find delicate Raku horses and Journey Ponies, life-like bronze representa-tional pieces ranging from miniature to monumental, spiritual Celtic-inspired totems and tributes, and breathtaking birds of prey. Tammy’s work is available in collections nationwide and at Chisholm Gallery in Millbrook, New York.
