High School Graduation Requirements
1. 30 credits = 18 compulsory + 12 optional
2. Successful completion of the literacy test
3. 40 hours of community involvement
Literacy Test
You must pass this test in order to graduate with an OSSD.
The test can be written as often as necessary to pass, but it will only be offered once a year.
If you have taken the test but have not successfully passed, you qualify to take the literacy course to replace this requirement.

What can’t you do? Not a task you would
normally do (chores) or your friend’s chores

Choosing Courses… All students must take a minimum
of 6 courses.
Universities look at best 6 grade 12 U or M level courses
Some universities only want two “4M” courses, rest must be “4U”

Considering a post-secondary school in the US? You are required to do the SAT or the ACT.
Consider writing this in May/June ‘11 then again in the fall of Grade 12 if necessary.
