    1. Draw a projections of a cylinder of diameter 40mm and axis 70mm long when it rest onthe VP on one of its base points. The axis of the cylinder is parallel to HP and inclined at300 to VP. [10]

    2. a) A hexagonal Pyramid of base side 40mm and height 75mm rest on HP with one of itsbase corners. The base sides containing the resting corner are equally inclined to HP. Theaxis of the pyramid is inclined at 400 to HP. Draw the projections of the pyramid. [20]

    b) A cone of base diameter 40mm altitude of 60mm rest on HP on its base. A section planecuts the cone at a distance of 15mm from the axis nearer to the observer and inclined at 350

    to the VP. Draw the top view, sectional front view and true shape of the section. [20]

    3. a) A pentagonal prism of 30mm side of base and 70mm height is resting on one of itsedges of the base in such a way that the base makes an angle of 45 0 with HP and the axisis parallel to VP. Draw the projections of the prism. [20]

    b) A hexagonal prism of base side 35mm and height of 65mm is resting on HP with one ofits rectangular faces with its axis perpendicular to VP. It is cut by a vertical plane inclinedat 300 to the VP. The section plane is passing at a distance 25mm from the axis from theobserver.     CAT-1Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30)

    1. Draw an ellipse given the for the following conditions:

    (a) Distance of the focus from the directrix is 60mm (ii) Eccentricity is 3/4.

    2. Construct a Parabola when the distance of its focus from its directrix is equal to 60mm

    and Eccentricity is 1. Also draw a tangent and a normal to the same.

    3. A circle of 40mm diameter rolls over a horizontal table without slipping. A point on the

    circumference of the circle is in contact with the table surface in the beginning and

    after one complete revolution. Draw the path traced by the point. Draw a tangent and

    normal at any point on the curve.

    CAT-2

    Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30)

    1. A circle of diameter 50mm rolls on the outside of another circle of diameter 180mm

    without sliding. Draw the path traced by a point on the smaller circle.

    2. Draw the top view, front view and right side view of the object shown in fig.

    3. Draw the top view, front view and left side view of the object shown in fig.

    CAT-3Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30)

    1. Draw the projections of points on a common reference line. Take 20mm distance

    between the projectors.Point A is 10mm above H.P and 25mm infront of V.P.Point B is 10mm above H.P and on the V.P.Point c is 25mm below H.P and 20mm behind V.P.Point D is 20mm below H.P and 20mm infront of V.P.Point E is on the reference line.Point F is on both H.P and V.P.

    2. A line PQ 60mm long has its end P, 15mm above HP and 20mm infront of VP. Its

    top view and front view measure 50mm and 40mm respectively. Draw the

    projections of the line and determine its inclinations with HP and VP.

    3. A line JK 80mm long makes an angle of 30 with H.P and 20 with V.P. The line is

    such that its lower most point J is 15mm above HP and 25mm infront of V.P. with the

    line in the first quadrant. Draw the projections of the line JK.

    CAT-4Answer all the questions. (3 X 10 = 30)

    1. A circular plate of diameter 50mm is resting on H.P on a point on the circumferencewith its surface inclined at 45 to HP and perpendicular to VP. Draw its projections.

    2. A regular hexagonal lamina of 30mm side resting on one of its corner on HP. Its

    surface inclined at 45 to HP. The plane of the diagonal through the resting corner in

    HP makes an angle of 40 with VP. Draw its projections.

    3. A square lamina PQRS of 40mm side with one of its edge on HP, and lamina

    inclined at an angle of 40 to HP and one of its edge inclined at an angle of 35 to

    VP.

Thecentral plane is 30mm to the left of the apex and the station point is 50mm infront ofPP and 40mm above the ground plane. Draw the perspective view of the pyramid.

    2. A cylinder of diameter 50mm and length 60mm lies on ground with its axisperpendicular to the picture plane and one of its circular base touching the pictureplane. The station point is 45mm to the right of the axis of the cylinder, 40mm infrontof the picture plane and 70mm above the ground plane. Draw the perspectiveprojection of the cylinder.

    3. A cone of base diameter 50mm and axis hight 60mm resting on ground with itsbase. The vertex of the cone 30mm behind PP. The station point is 50mm to theright of the vertex, 40mm infront of PP and 70mm above GP. Draw the perspectiveview of the cone.
