he NDIC Academy, Centre for Deposit Insurance System (DIS) Training & T Education, is a regional learning center established for building capacity in the unique field of DIS and Financial Safety-net. Our courses are
designed and carried out in collaboration with local and international Regulatory and Supervisory Agencies such as the International Training Institute (ITI) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC), Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), the Corporate University of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), USA, the Office of Technical Assistance (OTA) of the United States Federal Reserve System, the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), etc.
The Academy was established by the NDIC in 2013 to serve as a center of excellence on DIS competencies for agencies in IADI Africa sub-region in fulfillment of its core mandates as Risk Minimizer of deposit guarantee, bank supervision, bank distress resolution and bank liquidation and in furtherance of its public policy objectives of depositors’ protection, financial system stability and enhancement of public confidence.

excellence. In its 29 years of existence, the
Corporation has developed a repertoire of expertise
by exposing its staff to capacity development
activities globally. It is now strongly positioned to
avail sister institutions skills they need to pursue and
achieve their mandates.
It is my expectation that the Academy shall remain a center of excellence and a model
DIS training institute in Africa by addressing the skill needs of sister agencies in the IADI
Africa Sub-region and foster individual and organizational effectiveness towards
achieving set mandates.

Registration is via the Learning Management System (LMS) by Departmental Training Officers (DTOs) or email via Programme Coordinator as shall be announced for auto-enrolments.
Nominated staff shall be notified individually and would be sent pre-learning course materials two weeks before course commencement.
