CLASS TIMEWhen scheduling a class, additional preparation and set-up time is very important to ensure a successful program. Our educator will arrive 45 minutes prior to the start of the class. The time frames of our classes are: • Half Day Program: 3-4 hours• Full Day Program: 6-8 hours

CLASS ATTENDANCETo be able to connect with each hairdresser, the size of the class is very important. We require the following:

• Demonstration/Theory: Minimum 6, maximum 20 attendees per 1 educator• Hand-On: Minimum 6, maximum 10 attendees per 1 educator

CLASS CONFIRMATIONCommunication is the key to achieving a successful program. Once a class is scheduled, an educator will contact the venue 2 weeks prior to the class to review the details needed for a successful program. Should there be any changes, please contact our education coordinator or educators as soon as possible.

MODELSQuality models ensure that our artists can produce the exceptional work that your team deserves to see. Models should be prepared to have a new look, including both cut and colour. The hair must be in good condition. No colour correction models unless requested by our educator. Allergy alert test must be performed on models 48 hours prior to the service.

MANNEQUINS & TRIPODS FOR HANDS-ONThe quality of the mannequin heads is very important to accomplishing the desired cut or colour result. We highly recommend using ONLY TIGI mannequin heads, which may be purchased through TIGI. Tripods are also recommended, preferably from Pivot Point. It is the host’s responsibility to provide tripods for the mannequin heads for the class.

PROVIDED BY TIGISupplies provided by TIGI for the specific class: • Appropriate TIGI Working Product Kit • Tear Pads (brand specific, model release forms, TIGI head sheet, and Colour Wise log if needed) • Mannequin heads & tripods are available upon request

VENUE REQUIREMENTSTo ensure a successful class, each venue needs to be equipped with the following:• For Demonstrations: Electrical outlets, stool/or stylist chair, trolley/or stylist stations, table with black table cover, flip chart & markers, and tables & chairs for attendees• For Hands-On: Stylist station with electrical outlets, tripods (available from TIGI upon request), shampoo area, and TV and DVD player for specific classes

CANCELLATION POLICYIf a class is cancelled by the venue within fourteen (14) calendar days of the scheduled event, the educator’s fees and expenses will still apply.

CLASS VALUEThe class value is an estimated cost of the class, actual cost may vary.

Joel Torres joined the TIGI Team over 17 years ago in his native Puerto Rico, but has since relocated to the TIGI Learning Lab in Dallas, Texas. Working with his mentor, Thomas Osborn, he has worked to develop education for TIGI with a particular emphasis on men’s education. Joel is internationally renowned for producing poignant creative work, having been published in Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, and numerous TIGI education collections and international beauty shows.

A New York Fashion Week veteran, Joel Torres used his unique fashion, beauty, and photography experiences to craft a distinct educational voice for the hairdressing community through how-to videos and collaborations on social media. Joel has had the opportunity to develop his craft with guidance from hairdressing legend Anthony Mascolo, and looks forward to continued success within the TIGI family.

Cynthia Baker knows the beauty biz. With nearly two decades of experience behind the chair, teaching hair color, and leading beauty companies, she possesses a wealth of knowledge within the beauty and fashion industries.

Cynthia worked as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a major beauty company where she managed celebrity endorsements and social media marketing by working with celebs such as Kyle Jenner of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Lilly Ghalici of Shahs of Sunset. In 2015, Cynthia launched her own consulting agency, SAGA Haus and works with companies, entertainment and sports celebrities such as, TIGI Professionals, CJ Perry “Lana” of the reality show Total Divas, and Miroslav Barnyashev “Rusev” of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

For over 35 years, Gina Khan has continued to push the boundaries of colour and creativity, earning the respect of all in the industry. Gina has had her fair share of career highlights including being recently awarded Intercoiffure Haircolourist of the Year, however it’s not only beauty professionals who benefit from her masterful skills. In between inspiring on main stages across the globe, Khan maintains her role of owner, master colorlist, and mentor at her very own salon in San Francisco. “As an owner, I feel that I have a better understanding of the day-to-day routine,” she says “I make sure that I always “live” what I teach and what I believe in.”

Wes Palmer is a Houston-based hairstylist with a knack for going viral via @wesdoeshair. This Instagram sensation is known for captivating videos that put his classic training and original methods of hair painting, balayage, vibrant color, and haircutting on blast.

He gave up his childhood dream of playing professional tennis to become a stylist but Wes’ constant drive for reinventing tresses and pushing the limits of creativity proves that he made the right career choice. He loves getting out of Texas and exploring distant corners of the globe, especially when he’s collaborating as a brand ambassador for TIGI & a member of The BTC Team.

TIGI’s team of Regional Education Directors support, develop, and mentor the TIGI Collective Team. They ensure technical skill, cultural approach, and accountability are at an optimal level. Guaranteeing the hairdressers are inspired and motivated during the TIGI regional education classes, programs, and events.
