COULD I LIVE WITHOUT THE INTERNET? WHY? (WHY NOT?)

Introduction• Who would dare not to have an Internet connection in

21st century?• We need Internet for work-related things, such as

emails, we need it to communicate with those who are not physically present and we desperately need Internet for fun. We also spend a lot of time using social media.

• But what happens when there is no Internet? Is there a life without it? Are there friends in the real world that might be up for a coffee or lunch?

• This is the question we would like to focus.

• These days its hard to imagine the 'unthinkable' of life without the Internet, yet there are many who have grown up without the reliance and dependence upon it.

• What happens when you take their liberty of social media, emails, online communication and work? At first, all participants were skeptical whether this is possible, trying to explain that they can’t imagine not having Internet access. Few days after, all of them claimed to feel deliberated, more productive and happier. By the end of the week, most participants went through a little crisis that was resolved in reorganizing their time and making some restraints towards their online behavior.

• With no Internet access, they had the liberty to meet their friends, spend more time with family members, they didn’t have to carry their smartphones with them at all times and most importantly, they felt relaxed — the anxiety of not knowing something important that has just emerged on the Web, was gone.

Conclusions:

• The internet is a huge part of many peoples lives. It helps communicate, play games, and make the process of learning new unfamiliar things much easier.

• Without Internet access, my life would be a whole lot harder. If I don’t know something and want to know what it is, does etc. then I look it up on the Internet. Most people are like this, we want constant access to the Internet.
