Robbie Vaivai and Brisbane Maroons too strong for Perth Cougars-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Brisbane,QLD- Robbie Vaivai keeps getting better and better. Vaivai now has a great balanced game, strong running the ball but even stronger throwing. His statistics do not lie. 138 yards rushing with 1 touchdown, 193 yards passing from 11 of 19 passes and another score. Perth could not match Vaivai's 'X-Factor' performance.

"Like all superstars they tend to takeover games. Vaivai is the best player in the game right now in this country" said his Coach Craig Barry who remains undefeated in his young career in charge. "It feels great. But I also know you learn more from the dark days and those days are always just around the corner. We have to keep fighting whilst maintaining our belief in ourselves" Barry said.

It was a high quality match between high quality opponents. But that just says so much about how well Brisbane are travelling. Perth scored of their opening two drives of the game but amazingly Brisbane matched them step for step. When Perth blinked Brisbane snatched the lead with a field goal, a lead they would not loose.

The second half was all the home team. Matthew Wayne-Smith crashed over for a score and after Perth were shut down going for it on 4th down Mosese Chan-Ting wrapped the game up with an 8 yard run.

The final score 31-14 was indicative of the game. "They are better than what I thought" mused Perth Coach Benny Doyle. "Brisbane will be hard to beat. They are just flat out good".
