Personal Description

Hi, I'm Michael. Getting older day to day, I realize how my definitionand demands on travelling slighty change for I always enjoyedvisiting other countries especially with friends to get a closer view onthe cities, parties, people and nature of other regions of the world.Traveling with friends is a great thing, but traveling and get to knowother friends of your kind could be much more greater. Withcouchsurfing I discovered how great it can be to travel on your own!

I think I'm a quite easy person to deal with, I believe that life isgreater when you laugh a lot and that's what I really like, laugh aboutthings, may they be silly, abstract or of an intelligent kind of humor. Ialways had a lot of friends and people around me from all kinds of"subcultures" and ways of thinking, for I believe it's not importantwhat a person is but how you can deal with her. I spend my days withexploring, hearing and making music, wandering around, doing somesports to keep the body in shape (greatest feeling of all to be wet ofsweat but lucky), eating delicious meals, relaxing, dropping off into agood book and well, any other things that sounds interesting or funnyto me.Talking about countries, I always preferred and been a lot to those inthe north of europe, for the famous "fever of the north" has infected

me but for sure I want to have seen the greatest variety oflandscapes, vegetation, animals, people and culture that waspossible to me when I die. Travelling is experience, and experienceis wisdom which is one of the basic goals in life, at least for me.

be quite uncomfortable. We have onecouch to sleep and one sleeping "bag"(one of these things where you can sit in),and there are also possibilities to sleep onthe floor with a mat. You can smoke onthe balcony or in the living room, but that'swhere you will sleep so decide on yourown ) I was employed as a city guideonce, so I can show you Bremen, theSchnoor and the old town buildings andeverything but you can also go on yourown, we have a bus and tram station rightin front of our door. As I'm studying, itdepends if I can go with you or not butnormally it shouldn't be a problem, and myflatmates are also very open-minded. Youcan stay some days if you want.

Recently, I'm studying environmental biology in which I will specializein vegetation ecology / applied ecology. We'll see in which countrymy future will guide me. Oh, and also, I'm a vegetarian, but not oneof the extreme guys as I occasionally eat meat and fish following myphilosophy, you can only judge what you've tasted (speaking aboutfood).Having said that, I'm totally clear that you cannot judge a person justby a social network profile, so I guess to know finally I would be agood host for you, you unfortunately have to get know me personally)

How I Participate in CS

I know that a community like this is only working if users know andact by the principle of giving and taking and as long as there isenough space and time I certainly don't have a problem to host otherpeople. And of course, telling more people of it!I have made only great experiences until now! Love the project!

Couchsurfing Experience

I hosted several people from all over the world and surfed somecouches in northern Brazil.

Interests

Personally I love music of different kinds, being in particular varioustypes of metal music (with a preference for technicaldeath/atmospheric black), electronica, drum & bass, jazz,progressive rock, experimental,... In general I think the genre doesn'tcount, because in the end it's all about the music itself! I know how touse the guitar doing this for more than seven years now and also liketo play piano and drums/percussion as you will see, my fingers arealways tapping some rhythms. Other types of art, like street art anddrawings, are also on my list of interest. I also like science, of course,studying biology on my own. It's so interesting to learn how the worldworks and why and how it was created, the living as well as the

universe itself. Always depending on the topic and the person whotalks about it, I could be interested in many things, which I honestlydon't even remember or can imagine. ) I'm also a big fan of greatlandscapes, especially those in the north as mentioned above andfor that reason I like to hike whenever there's a possibility for it.When it comes to sports, I played basketball in a team for nine years,like to play football, had 2 years of martial arts and most recentlystarted to do capoeira here in brazil. Besides that, I like to go runningand love cycling (for I don't like using bus or tram). And finally,there's no greater thing than jumping into a lake or the sea insummer (or any other time of the year)!

Philosophy

I'm not religious and believe that one has to use the time given toyou to use it in the best way possible. That means, not hurting otherpersons and trying to enable everyone to live a life like he or shedoes. As I'm not a very demanding person, I just want to have agood time, know loads of persons, see as much places as possibleand try everything that I think may be worth trying to be able to saywhen it comes to the end, I had a fulfilled life and can die nowhappily.
