Getting the right color is all about the dye to water ratio. Mix in lots of dye to get a darker shade than the one on the bottle, or use a little dye to get a lighter one. You can also mix dye colors together to create hundreds of new colors!

Use Enough Dye 1 Rit® bottle/box dyes 4 medium t-shirts or 1 big bath towel or 1 lb. dry fabric.

Mix Dye with Hot Water

140oF (simmer) 180oF (below a boil)

Test ColorDip fabric scrap or paper towel into dye bath. If color is too dark, add more water. If too light, add more dye.

Dye Until You Get the Desired ColorColor looks darker when wet! Dark colors and 100% polyester need 30-60 minutes.
