• This outfit symbolizes Elma perfectly she has pretty big eyes, is in high school, smart and a innocent young girl. She is a waitress at Grace’s diner. At the diner she serves people.

• She is in her thirties or forties. She is the owner of the diner where she works and lives. Her outfit shows that she is a working diner women. She has a passionate side, loves seeing a good fight and likes the attention from a good man.

• He is a local sheriff, huge man, over six feet, has a thick black beard & a scar on his forehead. He wears a worn black hat, over sized shoes, and a has heavy mackinaw. He is a tough man and rude in manner, but he is kindhearted as well. In sense of words he is a moral man.

• She is a young southern girl about twenty. Pretty and fragile, and lived in a small town called Ozarks. She has left her innocence personality far behind. She is a singer at blue dragon night club. The outfit on the right symbolizes her character, she wears a short jacket with a metal cloth, a sequenced dress, and sandals that exposes her feet. She also wears a lot of make up and her eyebrows are a thin line. She has a southern accent and appeal of a small, affectionate bird.

• He is in his fifties, he is about average height, and has gray hair. He is ill-mannered, he is a college philosophy professor who is eloquent and delighting. He wears a old suit but of rich quality and underneath he wears worn burberry shoes. He is a decently dressed old man yet he drinks heavenly. He has a drinking problem he has a difficult life.

• He is a bus driver who has an ongoing relationship with Grace. His outfit on the right shows what type of uniform he is wearing due to his role as a bus driver. His personality is very flirtatious and this is very apparent when you see his relationship with Grace.

CARL

• He is a young cowboy in his early twenties, tall, slim, handsome. He wears faded jeans that hang down to his legs, wears boots under his faded jeans which are dirty, around his neck he wears a bandana, and he wears a faded denim shirt. He owns a ranch in Timber Hill, Montana. His personality is harsh and isn’t pleasant. He lacks good manners and has a slight attitude problem. He has convinced himself that Cherie will be his wife, while Cherie wants nothing to do with him.

• He is in his forties, he is a wiser cowboy than Bo. He has become a father figure to Bo helping him understand women. At ten years old he was orphaned and learned to live on his own which made him a wise and knowledgeable man. He dresses similarly to Bo, carries a guitar and has cigarettes in his pocket.

Bo has an attraction towards Cherie.

Grace and Elma work together at the diner.

Bo and Virgil are childhood friends, and Virgil acts as a father figure to Bo.

Carl and Grace have an ongoing relationship.

Theme: Escaping from their lonely life.

Elma- Is a young girl who lends her ear to Dr. Lyman and the other characters.

Grace- Is used to being alone after her husband leaves her. She is friendly, but does not trust anyone easily because she has been hurt before.

Will – Local sheriff that protects everyone.

Cherrie – Is trying to escape from Bo. Once she arrives at the bus stop, she tells Will that she is being forced on the bus with Bo and he wants to marry her.

Dr. Lyman – Enjoys reciting poetry, flirting with Elma, and has a bit of alcohol problem. He is a traveler passing by.

Carl –Bus driver makes sure everyone gets to their destination. He is flirtatious towards Grace at the diner.

Bo -He is head over heals for Cherie. He has fallen so wildly in love with Cherie because he lost his virginity to her. He has forced her on the bus with the assumption that she is going to marry him. Once he is put in his place by Will, he begins to see things differently especially Cherie who sees him differently.

Virgil - He tries to educate Bo on the ways of women and the world outside of Montana.
