Film Trailer Actors
Actor Number 1Character Name: BenActor Name: James
James will be used as one of our main
characters in the film trailer, starring as Ben.
Ben is a young boy living in a foster home.
During the trailer, it will go forward in time
showing Ben when he is 18/19 years of age,
which is why we change actors. We have
chosen James to be Ben in our trailer because
he is an ideal 9/10 year old boy and suits the
character of Ben.
This is just an example of the type of
costume we will have our first actor
(James) wear because it is something
a 10 year old would wear and is quite
smart but casual. As our character is
living in a foster home, he will not
have the nicest, designer brand type
clothing but he will still have a
smart/casual look for someone of his
age.
Example costume for
younger Ben:
Actor Number 2Character Name: BenActor Name: Joe
Our second actor Joe, who is playing the older
version of Ben. We have chosen Joe as we
needed a realistic, older version of James. They
both have light brown hair and are both quite tall
for their age and have the same skin colour. This
will help to make our film trailer more realistic and
believable for our audience.
Example costume for older
Ben:
This is an example costume, which our
older Ben will wear in the trailer. He will
mostly be wearing simple, plain t-shirts
and jeans, similar style to what our
younger Ben will wear. As Ben grows
up, he gets a part-time job whilst
balancing his school work and so is
able to afford nice clothing brands as
he was not able to have this when he
was younger and living in the foster
home.
Actor Number 3Character Name: LucyActor Name: Amy
Our actor number 3 will be playing our character Lucy in the
film trailer. We have chosen Amy to be our character for Lucy
because she represents a typical 10 year old girl. Amy has
performed in a number of shows such as pantomimes and
other theatre productions and so we feel that she has the
relevant experience to be able to play one of our main
characters.
Example costume for younger
Lucy:
This is an example of the outfits Lucy will
wear in the trailer. It is quite simple
clothing, which 10 year old girls would
often be seen wearing, she will continue
to wear this style of clothing throughout
the film trailer to portray a realistic
character of a young girl living in a foster
home.
Actor Number 3Character Name: LucyActor Name: SophieSophie is going to play our older version of Lucy in the film.
We have chosen Sophie because she is a realistic version of
younger Lucy as they both have blonde hair and blue eyes,
which makes it more believable for the audience. Sophie
has also performed in a number of shows and so has the
relevant acting experience to star in our film trailer.
Example costume for older
Lucy:
This is an example costume for older Lucy,
her style of clothing when she is older will
be similar to when she was younger.
Simple clothing like jumpers and jeans as
Lucy is quite a simple character. She will
wear this type of clothing throughout the
film trailer.
Locations
We have found some filming locations to use in our film trailer. Our main locations which will be seen in the trailer are:
Foster Home and certain rooms within the house
Local Park
Shopping Mall
Local High Street
Woods
We have taken pictures of some of the locations we have in mind for our film trailer
Madbess Woods - Ruislip
We have taken some pictures of our local
Woods in Ruislip. We would like to use this
location for one of our scenes where our
character Lucy runs away to, in search for
her friend Ben. There are various places
within the woods which we feel are
suitable for our film trailer.
Train Station – Ruislip Manor
This is our local train station, we would like to
use this in one of our film trailer scenes to
show the audience that the characters live
in a typical Central Business District (CBD).
This is one of our local shopping centres
(Uxbridge, The Chimes). We are still possibly
thinking about filming in this area, but by
filming in a busy shopping centre, it can help
to make our film trailer more realistic and
interesting. We want our audience to see that
our characters are typical working class and
not stereotypical characters played in
romantic films (for example, where one
character is from a high class background
and the other from a poorer background).
