Goza de una posición geográfica privilegiada que le permite estar a la vanguardia en la producción de vinos. Nos encontramos entre los paralelos 30 y 45 (Latitud Sur), como las mejores zonas vitivinícolas de Argentina, Chile, Sudáfrica, Australia y Nueva Zelanda.

A la variedad Tannat, intensa y distintiva de Uruguay, se suma el reconocimiento de nuestros vinos blancos frutados y jóvenes, hasta los más intensos tintos. Las cepas Moscatel Hamburgo, Merlot, Ugni Blanc, Marselan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noire, Malbec, Sauvignon Chardonnay ocupan la mayor superficie en los viñedos uruguayos, con atributos capaces de cautivar al amante de un buen vino.

Uruguay enjoys a privileged geographical position placing it at the forefront of wine production. The country is located between parallels 30 and 35 (South Latitude), as is the case of the best wine regions of Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to the intense and most widespread varietal of Tannat, Uruguay also harvests awards in fruity white and young wines as well as in the most intense reds. The Muscat Hamburg, Merlot, Ugni Blanc, Marselan, Cabernet Souvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noire, Malbec and Chardonnay Souvignon grapes occupy the largest surface area in the Uruguayan vineyards, with features capable of captivating the lover of a good wine.

La Guía de Enoturismo en Uruguay es una puerta abierta a los paisajes y su gente, a través de vivencias enriquecedoras en nuestros viñedos y bodegas. Disfrutar de un paseo por los sentidos, experimentar su variada gastronomía, la naturaleza, el patrimonio, las historias de inmigrantes; que serán junto al visitante parte de un racimo aún mayor.

Enotourism or Wine Tourism, is a proposal based on wine as the main element to convey sensory and cultural experiences, introduce the visitor to the peculiarities of the Terroir where our wines come form and their people; all of which are distinctive characteristics of the land and qualities of the wine.

The Guide of Enotourism in Uruguay is an open door to the landscapes and its people, through enriching experiences in our vineyards and wineries. Enjoying a walk through the senses, experiencing its varied gastronomy, nature, heritage, immigrant stories will be part of an even larger bunch of grapes.

En la región de Las Brujas se encuentra el viñedo y bodega de Artesana, proyecto joven, creado en el 2011; allí tendrás la oportunidad de vivir momentos únicos acompañado de excelentes vinos y de una gastronomía que emplea productos de la zona, con una amplia propuesta gastronómica que va de lo más tradicional hasta la cocina de autor. Artesana vineyard and estate winery, a young project created in 2011, is located in the region of Las Brujas, Canelones. En este terruño privilegiado las vides se encuentran en suelos rústicos y pedregosos de buen drenaje favoreciendo la intensidad, concentración de aroma en las uvas y el vino. Viña Varela Zarranz is just 20 minutes away from Carrasco. A path lined with olive trees leads us to the winery through the vineyards, founded in the late nineteenth century and declared a heritage of the Uruguayan wine industry. Irurtia winery was founded with the arrival of the Basque Lorenzo Irurtia to the area of Carmelo. La bodega inició sus actividades en 1913, en ella se puede realizar recorridos por las instalaciones de la finca, visitar los viñedos experimentales, realizar degustaciones de vinos, maridaje y cursos. En la bodega boutique hay partidas limitadas de alta calidad, vinos de colección. Se cultivan dos viñedos con diferentes terruños, en las zonas de Melilla en microclimas y terrenos privilegiados. Cada uno tiene identificación propia: Viñedos Antonio Beretta, María de los Ángeles y Viñas Villalba MT. Todas las vides se plantaron en espaldera alta, sobre suelos que ofrecen gran personalidad a sus vinos.
