Competitions & Activities

On 10th July 2018, Pre-primary wing took part in chef activity "Snacky Munch biscuit toppings". Little chef showed their culinary skills by making delicious but healthy biscuits.

Fun with Science activity was organised for Pre-primary students on 24th July 2018.The topic was sink and float. They learnt why different objects float and sink when placed into water. This experiment helped children promote scientific thinking, prediction, observations, comparison, reasoning, data gathering experimentation and evaluation.

Around the age of 4 and 5 years, the children develop controlled body movements and appropriate postural responses. To enhance the balancing, the playway and LKG kids learnt to walk on a line trying not to stumble. The activity took place on 19th July. The children balanced and coordinated well in the activity.

Cursive writing competition was organized for classes 1 and 2 under CCA Activity on 19th July, 18. in the school premises. The students participated enthusiastically in the competition which brought out the talent and creativity of the students.

Corruption is the greatest single bane of our society today. Our students of classes III to V of Indirapuram Public School explained this through Hindi Hasya Kavita competition. Students were very excited and actively participated in the competition.The audience was enthralled with their humorous yet didactic poems.

On 21st July, on the day of result Parents-Teachers Meet,holiday homework of all the classes was displayed. The homework was based on range of themes which were creative and innovative. Parents appreciated the work put in by the teachers and the students. The homework showed that the students had productively utilized their holidays.

Sanskrit Song activity took place on 25th July 2018. Students translated hindi songs to sanskrit and sang beautifully. They were judged on the basis of voice, modulation, synchronization and content. Agni house stood first.

Inter-school Activity

On 21st July, our fifteen students participated in Crescendo (2018-19), an interschool competition held at Sunderdeep World School, Dasna, Ghaziabad. Once again our students proved their perspicacity and clinched medals and awards in different activitiesStudents of class 10th bagged 2nd position in 'Appreciate Difference in the World ' which was a slide making competition.Students of 7th standard participated in 'Regard before you discard', and aced 2nd position in the competition.. Class 4th students secured 3rd position along with a bronze medal in 'Rhythmical Composition', wherein the participants sang and acted simultaneously.3 students from class 3rd showed their creative skills in paper bag making competition and bagged 3rd place.Students of class 1st proved their aesthetic acumen securing 2nd position in 'Eat Right, be Right Competition',wherein they prepared a fruit platter

Workshops

Workshop on 'Save Environment' was conducted for Pre-primary students on 17th July 2018.The purpose of the workshop was to familiarise students with the importance of clean environment. Teachers guided the students with tips to save Earth, save energy, save water and save plants.

Our German language teacher Ms. Surbhi Malik attended the FIT IN training programme at Max Mueller on 23 July.

We are happy to share that Mr. Ashish Mittal, the Senior In-charge of the school got selected to present his research paper in an International Conference jointly organised by Niti Aayog, Government of India & Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. The event took place on 16th and 17th July 2018 at India International Centre Delhi. Conference was inaugurated by Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Hon'ble Vice President of India, Ms. Kiran Bedi, Lt. Gov of Puducherry & Sh. Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog. Delegates from not only 20 States of India but also of 20 countries across the globe participated in this conference.

Delhi Public School, Rajnagar hosted the CBSE Capacity building programme on English Core class, XII on 27thand 28th July2018. Ms Pooja from indirapuram public school,Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad attended this enlightening session.The resource person for the empowerment session were Ms. Kiran Bhatt and Ms. Heemal Bhatt.The inaugural session focused on special objectives of reading and the ways of attaing confidence and grip over comprehension skills. Full length discussion on the writing skills. The format and styles gave a crystal clear picture of the latest rubrics. Teachers throughly enjoyed the lively interaction on various aspects of English syllabus. The workshop indeed stimulated the professional selves of teachers making them empowerd sensitive and aware facilitators of English language and literature.
