Wrong doing on the part of authority or

powerful party through means that are

illegitimate, immoral, or incompatible

with ethical standards.

Corruption often results from patronage

and it is associated with bribery.

Corruption refers to the using of official power for personal gain.

It is a danger which is existing in several departments of Government, Corporate and Private agencies.It refers to abuse of power.

(1) Transparency (in the place of secrecy)

Government should be in a

transparent manner.

Laws like “Right to Information”

should be strengthened.

Unless there is a political will, not

much change can be seen on the

ground.

Citizens should be informed about

the avenues to seek redressal and

discouraged from finding short-cuts

on bribing to get things done.

wherever possible to streamline the

tasks and efforts should be made to

remove middle-men.

Speedy trial. By setting up fast-

track courts in adjudication of

corruption cases.

Consistent monitoring by the

superiors in order to ensure that

there is no abuse of power.

social auditing.
