    What is?Corrective Action: Action taken to prevent recurrence and eliminate the root cause of a detected nonconformity(-iesNonconformance: Condition in which one or more characteristics do not conform to requirements.Root cause: Underlying reason or cause for a nonconformance.

    During machining process, operatorsshould ask if they see something differentor odd about sales order instead ofignoring or assuming order is correct.

    Operators have been instructed to clarifysales orders if they are not clear beforecommencing work. Training was performedon December 18, 2006 to all operators at xxfacility. See attached training document.

    Part should not be used and Engineeringshould look at the drawing to correct it soit wont happen again.

    ZE ###### has been created and completed,revising Drawing X-###### to clarify thedesired machining and thus reduce thepossibility of incorrect parts.

    At several stages, the XXX defect wasmissed. We will remind the Operators tobe more careful. There may be a problemwith the gages.

    Training held on December 18, 2006 withXXX machine shop, inspection, and assemblyfloor personnel to watch for XXX defects. Seattached training document. ZE ###### hasbeen created and Engineering in location isworking on designing specific gages for newproduction, etc and for multiple sizes.

    Recommend that a new test procedure bewritten and that the procedure will bealright with customer before release.

    A special test procedure (X-#######) wascreated and approved by XXXX and XXXX toverify that all part ###s would effect a sealprior to shipment. This test procedure wasimplemented December 18, 2006. Trainingwas completed the same day. See attacheddocumentation.
