Corporate and Custom Programs are based on the TVLP Institute experience in creating immersive learning experiences in innovationand entrepreneurship with the unique Silicon Valley approach. A team of TVLP specialists assist each client in designing a programbase on the client learning goals and innovation needs. Programs can last from a one day to weeks. They are aimed for largegroups and delegation.

Clients include group of startup founders from an overseas accelera-tor, governament delegations, general managers and top executives of large companies, and in general groups of people seeking to be directly exposed to the Silicon Valley energizing environment and positive culture.

The Corporate and Custom Programs are based on the methodology and experience developed by TVLP Institute. Some of the most popu-lar program topics are insights about future technology trends and the best practices of the Silicon Valley ventures.

The programs are delivered in English with an experienced faculty. TVLP curriculum also include programs in other languages involving native speakers as well as professional simultaneous translation.

A minimum of 20 participants is required.

A full package can be provided including group flight tickets from thebest Airline companies, accommodation in hotel or houses, meals, and some extra activities to relax and enjoy the beautiful California.

Program STRUCTURE

TVLP experience and unique methodology allow to create superimmersive programs of any duration, starting from one day.The most polular programs last one week and are based on the acclamed structure of the TVLP programs for international parti-cipants that the Institute select in 42+ countries.

A Monday-to-Friday program is a combination of three mainparts: CLASSES (13 hr*) instructor-led courses LABS (5 hr*) team work led by mentors or individual mentoring SOCIAL-BUSINESS ACTIVITIES (30 hr*) business meetings, site visits, networking events, special workshops, etc.

Additional days could be added to address specific program goals. In general each program is a combination of days spent mostly on campus (Day-A format) and others used to do site visits, meetings, or special events (Day-B format). Networking events in the form of public or private events can be included at breakfast time or in the evening.

Classes topics could be selected into the large TVLP curriculumranging from design thinking to leadership. Custom workshops on a specific industry or technology could be included. During Labs participants can have an hand-on experience or work more on a specific field of interest creating a custom lear-ning for each participant. As part of the site visits and networking, participants will hear from successful investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders.

Course work approach

Program classes are designed to provide fundaments of the Silicon Valley business mindset and the functional tools to successfully launch, manage, and growth new technology venture projects. Classes are taught by a faculty who are renowned Silicon Valley university professors, corporate executives, world’s top-level professionals, investors, and successful entrepreneurs. Case study materials and articles will be provided to participants in advance of the program, following the American business school model. This material will be used during in-class discussions.

Methodology

Teaching methodology is a combination of lectures and exercises creating an hands-on approach. Faculty members share a real-life experience in succesful present and past Silicon Valley technology ventures. Content is delivered in a very compact time-frame and with a simple “global” English language; simultaneous translation can be used.

TVLP faculty include both investors, executives, and entrepreneurs.

Mentors are folks like Steve Goldberg. Steve joined Venrock capital in 2009 after having been CEO of several early stage companies. He was Vice President of R&D at Nokia and at Cylink Corporation. Steve also held senior management positions at Trimble Navigation and Hewlett Packard. At Venrock, Steve focuses on investments in connectivity, M2M/Internet of Things, robotics and embed-ded systems. He sits on the Board of Directors of several venture-backed companies. Steve received B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.

LABS

Labs create hand-on opportunities with indivi-dual or team work sessions. Participants will apply the lesson learned during classes and work on a project.

Mentoring sections can also be included tooffer a personalized journey to acquire the Silicon Valley mindset and cover crucial busi-ness questions.

SOCIAL-BUSINESS ACTIVITIES

Meetings, Site visits, Special WorkshopsMeetings, Site visits, or special Workshops will take place during some full-day of social-business activities. You will be exposed to a key area of Silicon Valley so you gain a deeper understanding of the “most entrepreneurial valley of the world”. Social activities will take place in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mountain View, San Jose, and San Francisco.

Meetings, site visits, and special talks are opportunities to develop business connections and learn from investors, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, attorneys or other professionals all based in the Valley.

Site visits and meetings include some of the most promising technology startups of the moment (e.g. Carbon 3D or DocuSign), incubators that are shaping the technology landscape (e.g. GSVlabs, or Plug & Play Tech Center), or startups that turned into large companies (e.g., Google,Amazon, Netgear, or Intel). Participants will meet investors including angels and venture capitalists on Sand Hill Road. Breaks will occur in the most famous coffee shops, where you will often find entrepreneurs coding at their computers or meeting with prospective investors.

NetworkingNetworking opportunities are everywhere during a TVLP program. We will attend famous networking events provided by organizations such as the Churchill Club, VC task force, or Orrick Total Access as well as the event developed by TVLP Institute. The program will give you the opportunity to network with local entrepreneurs, investors, and service providers to help with building or scaling your business.Networking events will take place during the afternoon and the evening.

Dr. Ming D. LeungTVLP faculty member of Venture OrganizationDr. Leung is a professor at the Haas Business School at Berkeley Uni-versity where he teaches leadership in the MBA program. Previously, he was a consultant at leading firms including Booz & Company, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Accenture. He works with companies such as Google and IBM, on various issues relating to hiring and managing employees. Dr. Leung received his PhD in Organizational Behavior from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.

C-level executive, pastCIO and CFO of Hewlett-Packard Julie Cavanna-Jerbic is a senior operations executive, financial expert, and member of multiple boards. A former C-level executive at Hewlett-Packard, she directed top-level initiatives in Finance, Sales, and IT, enabling7% growth and over $1.7B of efficiency. She is known for her expertise in technology-based businesses including the Cloud, Cyber Security, SaaS, and Data Analytics. Ms. Cavanna-Jerbic is Board Member and past chapter President of FEI (Financial Executives International) where she initiated the CFO Academy. She serves on the Audit Committee of First Tech Federal Credit Union, 7th largest in the nation, and as Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University.
